This belongs to my DH's ex-wife and I love it! You turn it on and it turns different colors and the glitter swirls around like a snow globe. That's a regular Chinet paper plate it laying on for an indication of size. She said she got it in an antique shop in Georgia somewhere and they said it was what the ushers used to use to take movie goers to their seats.

No, I have never seen one, but it sure is neat! What she said is probably true, the old movie houses used to be grand.

I can just picture the ushers in the old Fox Theater in Atlanta GA using this to seat people.
Is it battery operated? That will help date it.

BTW if anybody EVER runs across one of these on Ebay PLEASE let me know! I don't even know what it's "name" is so I wouldn't know how to search for one.

I guess I would call it a ushers flashlight used by a usher to show people to their seat in a theater.
Here's a similar one on ebay that is a snow flake flashlight. You might even drop them a note and see if they can get one like this.
