Has anyone else recently received extremely delayed emails? I just received two in my ebay inbox in as many days that I've never seen before from customers that I've completed transactions with, one from April and one from 2 weeks ago. Yet another oddity from those 12 year olds. Those two customers must think I'm really slow! Wonder if I'll get any more! LOL

Yes, delayed eBay e-mails, but not from four months ago! Whatever can be going on in that headquarters these days?!

Well. I got home from 3 days out of town Sunday and was doing a fav search. Come to find out - I saw the same auction I had paid for 2 weeks ago back UP for auction!

Media mail so I just figured it was slow. I freaked! and emailed the seller.

She said she never got the PP payment email OR the Ebay payment email. So she was going to auction it back off.

Whew! She cancelled the bid and ended the auction.

Okay. So now...I get an email (supposedly) from one buyer who says they got one of the items but not the other even though they both ended on the same day and I shipped them both in the same package. Funny thing is, there has been no name attached to any of the emails as though someone is either A)not giving me all the info to spoof me or B)even after almost 900 auctions with a 99.5% positive rating doesn't know how to communicate. Something is awfully odd about the whole thing. I now have requested they send me their name and address so I can reconcile through PayPal. Don't you all think that after that much ebay experience they would at least be sending me more than one sentence at a time especially after 4 MONTHS?! I smell a rat... Maybe some of these bored super geeks home on summer vacation?

ebay must be taking lessons from the post office.

Update...for those who are concerned..LOL
Here is what the USPS track and confirm says. Mind you, these items were sent together, she says she got one but not the other and 4 months has passed. What would you do?

"Your item was undeliverable as addressed at 10:14 am on April 17, 2006 in MORRIS, IL 60450. It is being returned if appropriate information is available."

Cripes!

loren, I was smiling at the thought of ebay delivering 4 month old emails, not at your problems.

I am wholly sympathetic but don't feel qualified to suggest how you might respond (I don't accept PP myself). Perhaps someone who does could help out here. Anyone?

Re "no name" on the emails. Compare the no-name email headers against one (from your email records) from the original buyer, or from the ebay end-of-auction email if you get them. Do they match as coming from the same source/sender? If they don't match, then either buyer used a different address to send from or it could possibly be a spoof, especially if there is a clickable link in the no name email (just don't click it).
