I have two Waterford patterns here. One was described by the consignor as "similar to Lismore, but 1 step above".
Any help is appreciated; the photos at replacements make it tough (and I apologize for the photos here - if you can't make the pattern out, I'll try again with something in the glass).
Thanks in advance,
Claude

It is a little hard to see the pattern on your pics, but it could be Kenmare.
The second picture, that is. The first one sure does look like Lismore.

Life sure is full of coincidences! I just finished reading a wonderful novel, As It Is in Heaven, by Niall Williams. The story is set in Ireland, in Kenmare (which I thought was a fictitious place). I'd never heard of Kenmare before, and here it is twice in a few days.

wonderful pictures but you might tilt the top glass and take it at that tilted angle shooting through top on angle to show pattern that way. This would make both sides not on top of each other and show a good perpendicular shot of one side of the glass?? Is it sitting on a mirror or black lacquer surface? very becoming images.

I think tomorrow I'll put a piece of paper in the glass to show the glass better. I had our part-time college-kid photographer do them (I told him: not glamor shots, show the pattern) but he didn't keep his mind on the goal.
Irked, that's a black acrylic riser we use (we also have a clear one). Very handy for certain kinds of photos. Thanks for your kind words about the photos.

Did you try replacements?
Also I find to show the pattern on glass a nice wooden background works very well. Sometimes filling the glass with milk works too.
But by all means include these photos as well - they are excellent.

lady, I got backed up at work today (plus it was the kids' last day of school, so I played hookey some too ). I've heard of the milk trick; I might try it.
My problem with replacements is that their thumbnails are so small, it is a multi-click process to look at the patterns, and there are a zillion Waterford patterns. The thumbnails are too small for china patterns also, but at least you can weed out the ones whose colors aren't close.
I don't know, frankly, why replacements doesn't upgrade their photos and thumbnails... don't they know their competitors depend on them?

Cash - I know what you mean. You would think Replacements would leave their prices and photos there even when they don't have any to sell. How do they expect us to set our prices???
I'm sure you use their gallery - it can be a real time saver.

I do use the gallery, and it's helpful with china. Maybe my eyesight is just not good enough, but when I tried using the gallery for this stemware, the thumbnails all looked the same to me
