This is related to ebay. If you don't sell, sometimes, you just get rid of .. Right?
have you ever listed anything on craigslist for free?! I did yesterday. After cleaning out the house. Many things left over that could have been thrown away or re-used. I did a get a few emails, stupid emails. "What is the size of the books" Hello! Just go look at them. Why should I measure them. I listed a used but working vacuum cleaner. Got an email " Does it work?" Hello, can you read? of course it works.
Different Picker Uppers: I watched all of this from a window while I was finishing up cleaning. Women come by with their kids, sorting through the bags and boxes gently but seem almost guilty for going through it. Looking around to see if anyone was watching them. Some of the people jammmed the stuff in the car AROUND their kid in the car seat. You have other "shoppers" With hands on their hips looking it over as if surveying a field. Walking back and forth prior to attacking it. Then you have the ones that only come after dark with their car or truck's (Usually it was a pretty filled pickup truck) headlights lighting up the "field". The owner gets out of their vehicle, does a survey and either goes through it as if shopping or pulls things apart as a young child would do on a birthday or christmas.
This went on until way after midnight. Since the "pile" was right across the street from me, I enjoyed the show on and off for a long time.
I just had to share this. It was all too funny. The sad part about it was, anyone of those people could have been me attacking someone else's stuff at different times!
