You'll only hear about a 2¢ increase in the media, but if you are curious about other rate changes, check here:

http://www.usps.com/ratecase/

Base 1 lb priority mail will go up from $3.85 to $4.05 - A 3 pound package going across country which now costs $8.55 will cost $9.00

Media Mail will go up 8¢ for the first pound, 2¢ for each additional pound

Of course a one ounce letter will be 39¢, and each additional ounce will be 24¢ (as opposed to 23¢ now)

Electronic Delivery Confirmation will increase from 13¢ to 14¢

------------------

While I don't like any prince increase, I feel these are thankfully moderate. I was sort of expecting what happened a few years ago, when a 2 pound package across country increased from $3.50 to $5.75 overnight.

The GREED of the Post Ofiice will eventually put the internet sales out of business,,,the Postage is MORE than the ITEM.

My favorite clerk said the increases won't happen until 2006. Anybody heard different?

Yes, the earliest this will happen is early 2006 - It takes about 10 months to get this finalized. Gotta love our government, how many millions will be spent trying to have us spend more. I don't think the rates are sharp enough to get a USPS shipper over to UPS. Their rates will go up too!

Yup, and that's when the WHOLE delivery thing will come crashing down,,,,,,Way too costly on the internet, Back in the overpriced GAS car BUT they get to SEE and FEEL the product and enjoy driving to get it, as they DON'T write a check for the $9.99 item with $8.95 postage fees....A lousy 3 lb box from Calif. to Bangor IS that amount and my product is/was a $9.99 item.

Gonna dump then at the swapmeet instead.

One paif of BRAND NEW CFMP's,,,,$12.00 or TWO for $10.00~~~~~~~$45.00 retail right on the factory boxes....around 3000 pairs,,,,Sale starts at 6 am. Saturday morning. Be there, or be left out.....
