I recently sold an item where the winner has 8 negatives within one month. I was under the assumption that if a winner has 8 negs, that he might be NARU'd. Can anyone explain to me how this person is still able to purchase items? Since I no longer accept Paypal, they sent me a personal check. I will process it as normal. Is there a way to discover any info on his negs. I already tried Toolhaus. No luck.
Thank you,
Rosanne

OOPS that should be winner!

Negs don't get you tossed off eBay, sellers applying for their FVF's do.

Check his feedback profile and read what the negs were for. Were they for bounced checks? If so, you have reason to worry. Don't ship until that check clears. OTOH, if it's for nonpayment, he could have had a legitimate emergency, been suspended for NPB, and reinstated after making good on all of them. You'll just have to read his feedback to see what caused the negs.

Hi Max & Sparkz,
I understand that sellers would have to file for their final fees in order to have him naru'd so therefore these negs must come after payment has cleared where the negs might be retailatory from the sellers.
But I can read about his negs since he is private. I already tried with Toolhaus and it didn't give me the results that I would hope be useful. Any suggestions?

Yup, and from this you can see the EBAY COMMUNITY really gives a crap....they slam the Neg but never bother to follow through with the REAL aspect of getting BACK at the loser,,,the HOOPS,,,,,,,,of the NPB process.....!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks e bay, for making it ALL, sooooooooooooooooooo easy. B e c a u s e,,,,,, making it,,,,,,,,,,e a s y takes $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ out of eeeeeeeeeebays, feeeeeeeeeeee bays pockets!!

Hoops,,,,,,,and Some, will, MOST won't! they just feel GOOD letting the E bay community know they dealt with a low,,,,,life, scum bag, piece of,,,,,,but the IMPORTANT part ,,,they FAIL to......Full fill their obligation,,,,,,,,NPB!! process......

E bay is an OFFER site,,,,,there is NOOOOOOOOO binding CONTRACT,,,,,if there were,,,,,,,there would be NO NPB process.......

you pay,,,or it goes against your TRW report,,,,,has that EVER happened here? NOPE.

and the beat goes on,,,,,,,,,,

Good Luck!

Anyone consider that they might be a seller and the negs came form buyers.. for that matter, they could all be from the same individual... Why don't you just ask?

As long as you let the check clear before sending the item WHO CARES how many Negatives they have? The way eBay NARUs for Negative feedback is when someone has a -3 total feedback.

Hi all,
I was monitoring this auction at the end of the auction. I noticed that he had made his feedback private. I attempted to cancel his bids but was not successful with not enough time. He has already given me grief by changing my terms on a few issues. He is only a buyer not a seller. I don't have time to review to find his purchases way back to discover who has given or received a neg from him. I just know that when I email him today that I am going to deposit his check, I most likely will get grief about it.

mamachia;

In your "My eBay", click-through on "eBay Preferences" and then scroll down to "Seller Preferences" where you can:

Block buyers who:

- Have a feedback score of -1 or lower
- Have received 2 Unpaid Item strikes in the last 30 days.
- Block buyers who are registered in countries to which I don't ship.
- Buyers who may bid on several of my items and did not pay for them.
- Block buyers who are currently winning or have bought(number) of my items in the last 10 days.
- Buyers without a PayPal account.

Hope this helps.

Best,
Michael

This is the crazy thing about ebay, 8 negs in a month and they are still active. A lot of sellers don't understand the process, they think leaving a neg will do it. It is in ebay's best interest to not be clear about this, think about it - Without filing FVF, assuming the seller resells, ebay gets their fees twice!

Make a copy of the check and before you ship call to see that it has cleared. I did this recently and it worked out fine.
Good luck
