My husband has installed Ad-Aware on my computer. It found 25 "possible" problems plus what looked like a hijack attempt (yikes).
In the display of the 25, one of the pieces of information is "hits." Some had 10, some had 1. What exactly can this mean? The item with 10 hits was "tribalfusion," which I see all the time at the bottom of my screen when I'm working in Ebay. Any clue what that's about? Would the # of hits be for a day or so, or a grand total? If grand total, it should be much higher. Just confused.

Adaware is specific to "ads" that grab onto your computer and sort of hang there collecting information as you surf.
Thus the name "ad" aware. Just delete it all. Don't even think about what it means, because you will always be tracked and they will always return. If you can, setup the adaware to run at scheduled times.

Roadsmith, tribalfusion is vendio's adserver. Tracking cookie. I think its pretty harmless as far as personal info. It just follows your internet/web usage, the same as doubleclick with ebay. You can remove it, but you will pretty much always see those two cookies on your computer from ebay and here.

Thanks! I knew I'd seen tribalfusion somewhere--thought it was eBay. Okay, I'll just delete them all from now on.
