I've been selling on Ebay since 1999.

I sell books in my Ebay Store and today I got one cancelled as inappropriate, should be listed in the Mature Category.

And what was this risque novel?

"For Adults Only" - by Charlotte Lamb - A Harlequin Presents Novel.

I would be laughing if it wasn't so pathetic.

I wrote to request this mark against me be removed and I be allowed to relist my book.

I have sold several of this same book on Ebay without any trouble.

Has anybody else had an item cancelled?

Do they usually let you relist?

Do they remove the mark against you?

Do you think once you're been cited, that you're more likely to get hassled in the future?

Except for when I list a book I've seen in the Want It Now listings, I sell romance novels almost exclusively, mainly the Harlequin types and I would hate to start getting them cancelled every time they have a slightly risque (in the minds, of Ebay) title.

Thanks for any input.

I'm aware I misspelled believe in the subject, but it appears you can't change that once it's been submitted.

You also misspelled mispelled. Sorry couldn't resist. Sorry can't help you out otherwise but I am sure someone can.

I'd bet eBay will keep the listing fee.

No, Niel! It IS "misspelled" (mis-spelled = meaning poorly spelled). Use your spell checker if you don't believe it.

Dragonfyrre: Change it back! Now!

You'd be safer to say it was: Spelled Wrong.

I have listed hundreds of Vintage Romance books and out of all I listed Ebay would pull any that had words that they thought were not appropriate

It is Ebays automated program that catches words they they feel should be in the adult category.

The trick is not use words that would suggest or relate to sex, if you do then you need to use the Adult category.

Even if your title is fine and your description has words that the program picks up they will end your auction.

They will tell you to relist it in the proper category.

I started to leave all the words out that I felt would cause a problem even if it was in the title because a buyer would search your auction and then from the picture they could see your title.
