Sorry Jack. I just know what it's like to ask a question and have absolutely nobody answer. You wonder if everyone has you on ignore or something. You feel like chopped liver.
Also, I was thinking of going. It's closer to Alaska this year and I have miles on Alaska Airlines I can use.

I always thought it'd be fun to go to one. To actually meet other people who are doing this, who might have similar interests in collectables and junk....
But since the hubby doesnt share this ride with me, and I wouldnt like to go by myself, (even though there's some people I know who might find it interesting enough to want to go along), I just dont ever see me doing it. At least not in the near future, anytime.
But I like to read about peoples experiences on the ebay boards afterward though.

I'd like to go - wish they would hold it somewhere warm in WINTER!! My summer is pretty full already with kids home from college etc and we have such a short summer here in MN I hate to leave. Maybe the skeeters will drive me to it!
Would be fun to meet some of you folks if we could get a group going...maybe Vendio will treat us to dinnner? lunch? hors d'oeuvres? a drink? Well maybe a drink cooler, frisbie, mouse pad or key chain?

Hmmmm. Went last year for the first (and only) time. If you are just beginning, you may learn a few tricks. If you are a reasonably advanced and seasoned seller, you can probably teach the eBay folks a trick or two. Even the advanced classes were geared for the lowest common denominator.
If you're looking for leads on "cheap items that return a big profit so I can quit my day job and stay at home and sell on eBay" join about 85% of the people attending. Lots of folks selling new items for which the marketing hints and seminars appear to be geared. Mostly, nothing really relevant for those of us who sell antiques or collectables.
If you don't have an opportunity to interact with other eBay sellers on a regular basis I might recommend it for the networking at least. If you are a power/power seller, and you get an individual session with your rep, that could prove helpful.

I thought about going last year when it was in New Orleans. I decided to sit it out because I couldn't afford a hotel and it was too far to drive everyday. Probably lost my only chance because it will never be that close again.
