Classicrock: You may be onto something! My father died in an accident in 1983; in 1984 my mother married a "wonderful" man who turned out to be a con man and she divorced him a year later. But it was a nightmare year. One of the dead giveaways for my brother and me was her telling us that "he doesn't listen to sports the way your dad used to; he likes to listen to classical music with me." My brother growled that there was something wrong there. He was right!

Not to say BJs guy is a con, though, LOL.

Classic, thats not nice! We all cant be rock n rollers like you now :P)

BJboswell, Happy Valentines day to you and yours, too!! Hope you enjoy your hockey game together. I think its makes for quite an interesting partnership when opposites attract.

My other half once embarrassed the yknwhat* out of me at an art museum exhibit I made him go to with me. I had read about it in the newspaper and I wanted to go see what it was all about, so I dragged him down there with me. When the curator approched us (god knows why) and asked how we liked the exhibit, he causticly remarked he thought it was a bunch of junk from a junk yard and certainly was not art. The funny thing was it was this exhibit on the natural elements like water & sun mixing with the environment on metals and other various medium, and if you didnt know what you were trying to see in it, it did look like a big junk yard!!

You know you're REALLY in trouble when:
You sit with yer liddle boy, watching "Barney", and, all of a sudden, you realize that YOU KNOW ALL THE WORDS TO ALL THE SONGS!

Dear Classic.... MY Valentine and I have been married for 27 years. He is THE man of my dreams and I thank God EVERY DAY that I found him. There is nothing David can't do. He is a wonderful husband, the best father and now Grandfather, son (his MOM would pop you if she read your post), and an exceptional human being. His musical taste is above reproach... it runs everything from opera and classical to Mariachi. He is a gormet chef, can build a house from the ground up,restores museum quality porcelain, is well read and well traveled. He is an all around fine person... and by the way if I HAD bought him a mini skirt and thonged underwear he'd look great in them ... his legs are georgous! PS We had a great time!

Marillion?? never heard them- must be some 90's junk. The 70's were the best!!

I do have to admit Quebec City is beautiful. We were there about 10 years ago in July.At night we walked up and down the main drag and admired all the outdoor resturants and the horse drawn carriages. At the end of the street they had an outdoor music festival.Yes they were playing classical music. The only reason we sat down there was we were tired from all the walking.
We sat there for 10 minutes and couldnt take it any more and left.We were waiting for Billy Joel or the Eagles to come on, but alas, they never showed up.

Classic.... trust me... pick up a marillion CD if you like Genesis, ELP, Yes ... they are as good and in some ways better. They have a rich full amazing sound and the lead singer is next to Jon Anderson in voice. If you like English rock and roll you may like them.Their first vocalist was Fish who is astounding. The second vocalist is Steve Hogarth. The difference in the 2 is like the difference between Genesis with Peter Gabriel and then Phil Collins. Excellant but different. They definitely have 2 eras "old music" "new music". Each has its high points and fans... we love both. Let me know if you decide to give them a listen.
Quebec City is a wonderful OLD city and worth putting on anyones list of places you need to see.Great architecture, restaurants.... and a good CHL hockey team!
