Ya have to give VD a great big round of appluase for this one -- they may be charging for the support, but at least they be kind enough to be using real live ENGLISH-SPEAKERS, right here in the good ole USofA!
Getting really sick of calling a company's CS only to waste me time yelling "WHAT?" over & over again at some Abu or Aknerd located in Bangadoor, INDIA

lol Tom! I was thinking the very same thing about a call I made for support.
Had a problem with my password - called up to find out what the deal is. Got a very nice woman with foreign accent. ok. no problem long as you know your sh**. She askes me if I would like her to create a password for me? Yeah, right! I would like YOU to know my password. She didnt say, I will create you a temporary one. She said tell me what you want your password to be and I will put it in for you. lol. Im sure she thought she was being helpful, but sheesh..
Some foreigners just misstep the American social protocol. But how do you teach them that without them ever being an American?

Many internet companies now have pay-for-phone support.
A few months ago we bought a replacement cable modem and couldn't get it hooked up right. Easy Data had a free support and a pay support phone line. They never answer the free line so we took the modem back and got a refund and got an RCA modem for $40 less. The Easy Data pay for support line cost them a sale.

Guess this was a Christmas present to all the loyal customers they have had for years.
I guess Vendio has not realized that Ebay is working hard so that there will no longer be a need for this type of serve?
