Check the Announcements Board, everyone.

I saw the FLD last night, got mine up to Pending so I didn't have to get up too early today.....oh well, the phone got me up anyway, but the auctions are already up and waiting their proper launch times.......of course, by “light of day sanity,” I am questioning my intelligence at posting at all during this time.

Seriously, I "ALMOST" hate it, and I have been tempted to go cancel all of them as I have other projects working, and don't really want the hassle of auctions till the rest of my major projects are done........BUT, I am a sucker for FREE - so will probably leave them up........

My major projects for the next week were to totally renovate 2 of our web sites, one of which is a major income producer for us, and I really don’t need the intrusion of eBay.....

Well, I have a couple of hours to think about this – perhaps rational will prevail, and I’ll pull them before they launch........

Somebody talk some sense into me!!

jwpc, ok, don't launch them lol, you asked

Seriously, I'm thinking of launching some, and for 10 days, so I'll be paying the extra for the 10 day run... still too many things going on, and with 10 days, starting today, they will still get 2 weekends, and more time 'off' for me.

You might want to consider that, seeing you do have other things you need to do.

Good luck everyone

May it be a great New Year!

There's a thread on OTWA about Vendio launched auctions launching as soon as they are posted. A typical FLD glitch is how the problem was described.

um, I have a problem? I do use Sellers Assistant, to do everything, from descriptions, pictures, launching, post sales etc. Something messed up on the catagorys part, and so.... I was getting the numbers (of the catagory) from 'Sell Your Item' (I'm not doing but about 20 ) and is Sell Your Item down????? I get, 'your request can't process' or something like that, and to check the announcement board

Does anyone else use the SYI form on ebay? and have this same thing happening?

Thanks!

I had auctions set to go @11:30 PM last night. Happened to get on the 'puter here where we are staying & saw the FLD, so I changed all to 12:15 AM today. Beat the mad rush.

No problems with launching. In fact I already have bids on some items. Working like mad listing things that have been here for quite some time. If I don't sell some I am not going to relist just send them to the thrift store. Good thing you looked sanmar saved you some dollars.

Listings went through like a dream.
Already had some BIN sales.

Hi all,

I think I'll skip it altogether! Would only save me the insertion fees, not my gallery or BIN or 10-day fees. Hardly worth it considering there will be gazillions of auctions put up.

Tomorrow is our second Christmas dinner. Need to get the lasagna ready. At least the Linzertorte's done.

Oh well, maybe next year I'll decide eBay is worth doing... I bet Horsey would say I'm lazy. Which would be correct.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Lucy

You are not the only lazy one Lucy. I have been blissfully free of emails and stress for nearly a week now and I'm npt quite ready prepared to start dealing with it again. I'm thinking Monday I may return to the fray. Just as well, I do better selling overseas and none of those sites have a free listing day this week anyway so there is nothing lost and a couple more days of peace and sanity gained.

Fenix, I'm with you all the way. Yesterday, before Christmas Dinner #1, I took a couple hours break and played 10-hand video poker. Had a great time!

The only emails I've gotten are from relatives asking how I fared in the earthquake and sending good wishes my way.

Seriously, I do need to get a 2004 calendar and figure out when I want to put up more auctions. Last winter was very successful.

Ebay is running S...L...O...W...!...!

After hitting the Submit Listing button, I can go make a sandwich and be back in time before the listing is launched. At this rate, I won't even have time to relist all of my unsold items.

Thumbs down for ebay today.

Oh please - did you really not expect that during its heaviest hours on the busiest day that they would not slow down? Maaybe you should have utilized the free trial aspect of one of the dozens of sites that do listing. with the average two week period you could have spent a week preparing auctions, list them all for 7 days and had the service send out notices on them all the while having the whole day to do anything you want other than gripe than a site that is is doing 2-3 times it's normal volume had the audacity to do it slowly.

I just posted my last 34 for today and they all went up without a hitch.

Great job Vendio!!!!!

That makes a total of 1068 listings for the day. Around 800 were relists and the other 268 were new ones.

we got our big move to the new apartment done and I have been enjoying the new place so much i haven't even looked at my ebay stuff. need to get busy though, one large walk in closet is stuffed with things that need listed, also kept the rented garage at the old apartment because it is full of ebay stuff.

I tried to list some things but being off awhile, its hard to get back into the swing. I dont know about the rest of you folks but somewhere in the back of my mind I resent this rush to list for FLD. I feel like I want to do it when I want to do it; not like a trained dog that runs with the pack when the whistle blows.

I guess I'll list some more today. I dont care about the listing fees long as the some stuff gets sold.

The RUSH is over and now I am stark raving MAD (not angry - just brain fried). Typical of my Scarlet O"hara approach to life (I don't want to worry about that today. I'll think about it tomorrow) I had no listings ready for launch for FLD but did have a treasure trove of unsold items. Last year I listed from Vendio "unsold items" list and had a nightmare finding the postcards to match the listings. THis year I listed from the cards and the computer list and am HOPING shipping won't be a horror show. I did find some double posts and I am not sure how that happened (I think it happened when i got an error in launch message from VD and went ahead and relaunched). I don't even know how many I listed! I think it was around 1200, all of them relists.

Was it worth it? Time will tell...there sure are a lot of listings out there! I figured even with a pessimistic scenario of 10% sell through and average price of $5.00/card it was worth the effort! Now to the housework! UGH <--- I'd rather be listing!

I used Turbo Lister. Was able to list about 85 auctions per hour. I didn't hear about the FLD until about 11:30PM EST, so I did my best to get about 280 auctions up.

I used FLD to try some different things. I listed a few Fixed Price offerings...some of those have sold already. I will be doing more.

HOLY YOU GUYS!! I got 39 auctions up and some of those were relists. Of course my day was busy yesterday going to the Vet's office but still......I couldn't imagine putting up 500 - 1000+ auctions. You guys must be powersellers or have alot of help. Good luck to you all. I have 1 bid in on all of those 39 items up so far. WOO HOO! *Laughing*

Sham - actually, I am a part time seller with less than 600 feedback. The trick is knowing how to use the technology that makes Ebay such a goldmine for those that choose to learn it.

Using SAPro I got over 7,000 relists listed. Listing was a little slow during prime time, but flying the rest of the day.

I didn't have any problems listing, most of mine were new ads. I had very little relist, most of that stuff had already been sold. I had alot of ads ready but no goods, had sold those items for Christmas. One guy bought 50 DVDs this week, and most of those I only had one of. I am selling most of my stuff on fixed price listing, and I have been selling most of what I post, about 90% of it. I don't do that well with the auction format,my stuff gets buried in the one cent listings.

Jake, just curious. What kind of items do you sell where you could possibly have 7000 relists? Do you list in many catagories? I did good to get 60 some listings going for FLD. Pretty sad...
