Is there a tracking number similar to the Delivery Confirmation # that can be added to the Canadian parcels that I ship? Or something that can be proof of mailing to these customers?

You CAN purchase "PROOF OF MAILING" at the window ~ Form 3817 for $0.90 -- kind of worthless, but better than nada, I guess??
For TRUE international TRACKING, you need to ship either via:
A) GLOBAL EXPRESS MAIL -- veeeery expensive!
/or/
B) AIRMAIL LETTER or PARCEL POST+REGISTERED MAIL - Expensive! (or surface, if ya really HATE yer buyers)
Since CANADA is essentially kinda more-or-less civilized, I really donna think ya have to be too worried about LOST mail -- probably about same % as USPS, if not better??

that number on the blue slip is only trackable within usps system.
which means you have to ask them .

Mail is rarely "lost" in Canada. It heaps up in customs when people don't want to pay the duty. That's another thread all together.
