Who here wakes up and heads straight for their computer?

I do, think its starting to be a sick habit!

I DO!! I put the coffee on and then, while it's brewing, check out eBay and VD (I usually try to wait until AFTER I've had the coffee to post to VD)...sick?? nah..

Well I do take a shower and get a cup of coffee first. But the very first thing I have to do is feed the cat,she would be marching outside with picket signs if I didn't.

Neglus, I get my coffee first, too! lol..and oh yeah, do have to feed the cat while I am at it!

Some days feel like I need to leave it alone though. You?

Me...

I turn on the computer first. Then I get the coffee going and feed the bird.

What next? Here, of course!

Good morning everyone, hope you have a lovely day!

Same thing here! The coffee is usually cooked by the time I get up (dh gets up before me). I make sure my short people are out of bed, grab a cup, and head downstairs to the Deana Pit. I check on everything, then it's back upstairs to ride herd on kids who think I'm not paying attention.

I have 17 credit hours this semester (pre-nursing) and 13 of them are online courses. Way too many ologies! So, between that and eBay, I feel like I LIVE on the computer. I'm on from first thing in the morning till late at night most days...breaking only for violin practice with the kids (we're quite a trio!) and dinner. Lunch even gets eaten down here.

I get up, turn the 'puter on and then head downstairs to start the coffee. Then it's back upstairs to shower, back downstairs for coffee then back upstairs again to the 'puter. One hour later I'm off to work. No wonder I'm tired before I even get there.

Me too! Turn on computer, start coffee, check posts, feed animals that I have tripped over as I walk back and forth between kitchen and living room.

I do! First I get the cats fresh bottled water, put one outside for her morning stroll and then get myself an orange juice.

I just got back from a garage sale, not much there but I did get a book on gardening that has lots of beautiful pictures. When I get off work this afternoon I plan to sit on the porch and look through it and try to ignore all the weeds in my own garden.

my computer stays on 24/7 unless it is going to storm....that is easier on the system than turning it off and on all the time.

I rise at 4a.m., take a shower and get on ebay and vendio for an hour before getting ready for work.

come home from work and am usually on the computer until about 10 p.m.

I think I was the poster child of the old and wildly unsuccessful "Coke in the Morning" ad campaign. I'm not a big drinker of hot beverages so I wake up, pour myself a Diet Vanilla Pepsi and hit the computer.

I live on this Computer. Between ebay, design work, communicating with clients, researching future sources (I dedicate at least 5 hours a week to nothing but searching the web for hot trends and cheap suppliers) and yapping here I probably spend 75% of my waking hours on in this chair. I think I should get a better chair.....

wow..how could I forget FEED THE CAT? First thing..before the visit to the powder room even..I have to feed the cat who is ravenous and can't live another MINUTE without food!

How many of us are cat owners anyway?? Seems to be an underlying theme here!

I am the proud owner of a 15 year pampered and nearly toothless, formerly beautiful ,(and now a sad sight indeed) kitty named FLUFFY (for real) and always a WONDERCAT!

Glad I am not the only one.

Strange thing, all the vendio posters/sellers DO seem to have cats? Wonder what it means?

I have two cats and I leave dry crumbles out for them all the time. Sometimes I hear them crunching and munching away in the middle of the night.

They know their "real food" and more cold water will be served when I get in from work and they demand it right away. If I change my clothes first they follow me down the hallway and DEMAND their food, like they are starving to death.

It's addicting. If I wake up in the middle of the night for a bathroom break, I stop off at the computer before heading back to bed to check on my auctions...

We went on a 5 day camping trip earlier this summer..when we got back the FIRST thing I did..no stops at all along the way..was rush downstairs to see how I was doing. 5 whole days without checking! How exciting! One of these days I should get the willpower to not look for the whole week just to suprise myself

I get up, wake my 6th grader up so he can get ready for school and then check my email and here if I get time. After I get all 3 to school I get a breakfast sandwich and milk and come back online.

Though I usually end up falling asleep at my computer desk about that time, I really need more sleep at night. There is nothing worse than setting down to work at 8am and then opening your eyes to find you have been sleeping at your desk again and it's almost lunchtime.

I've got some "issues" with my joints. (Didn't we used to call it "problems"?) I stagger into the kitchen, pour my coffee (already automatically made), take my Tylenol, sit on the sofa for about 20 minutes and drink my coffee while checking the latest big news of the world on TV and letting the Tylenol work its magic. Then I head downstairs to my computer. Check e-mail first, then my auction list on Vendio, then EO. I swear going up the stairs lots of times a day to and from my home office keeps me at least a little bit fit!

I admit it, I am an addict. Pretty soon I will need to go to eBay Anonymous. : )

I get up at 5:30 & make the kids lunches & get the backpacks set up. Then I take my coffee & park myself in front of the computer before the troops get up.

Oh, I also feed & take the dogs out for a quick walk when hubby is away on business.

Addict here too. Get up and pour the Mountain Dew (computer is on 24/7), answer emails, print out address labels through endicia (write on the back what they're for so hubby knows what he's packing). Then hop in the shower, check the emails one more time before heading off to work.

My sleep has been a disaster since my accident in 1997, so my "routine" changes almost every day

Last night: went to bed at 10:30pm & got up at 1:00am...pop the pain killers & turn on the PC...brew the coffee & read this board while shaking & moaning & waiting for da pills to kick in

Ralphie is very considerate: he usually doesn't need to go out until 9am -- whenever I get up, he just snorts at me, turns around, & goes back to his SNORING!

I go to the powder room, then head down to check on my auctions and e-mail. Oh, I have to let the cats in or out also. They don't get fed first thing because they always wake me up in the middle of the night to feed them!!! I was away on vacation a week ago and didn't take my laptop this time. So, I had to call my friend on my cell phone to check on my auctions!! She kept me informed on how everything was going (which wasn't very well!).

It's sad when brushing teeth and other morning functions fall to second and third on the morning priority list behind booting the old computer....I'm guilty!

drcomm, got a funny story!
Went to Cape Cod for the 4th of July this past summer. NO COMPUTER ACCESS. Was dying to check my auctions, had some hot items. We decide to say a 4th night in Yarmouth Mass. Check into a cheap ($129 a night) hotel. Still jonesing out to know about my auctions. My wife and I head to the indoor pool in the lobby and what do I see? YES!! A public use computer in the lobby with speedy cable internet. I almost burned a hole in the carpet running to that bad boy. You know the rest....9pm...9:25pm...9:50pm...10:15pm...the lady behind the desk probably thaught I was a head case...we were three floors away but I did manage to refresh and watch 4 or 5 of my items end!

Mic-
I was at the Cape for the 4th of July also. My username will give you a clue which town.

We have an old dilapidated computer up there that I use. it's so old I am not tempted to check but once a day.

You can always use the computers at the public library when the dt's set in!

First thing every morning. Check my emails, Ebay and business account, check my ads, check out VD and then get my diet cola and toast.

And, the last thing every night, same routine minus the diet cola
