Earlier I posted a thread about buying something through an AW (now Vendio) store....the seller had as his TOS that all items (jewelry) would be combined for $2.00 s/h. So I bought three gold chains - normally I would wait to see the quality of the chains by ordering one but the cheap s/h appealed to me so I purchased three....I did the AW checkout and the s/h was NOT combined. I figured that it was just some kind of mistake since the TOS was so clear so I went ahead and paid for the items through PayPal with ONE $2 s/h fee per the TOS and emailed the seller about what i had done. I get an email back from seller that that $2.00 s/h was his OLD price and the new price was...yadda yadda yadda. I said none of your store listings reflect your " new price" (we are talking about 36,000 store items here!) and I expect you to honor the $2.00 s/h. No answer to my email...*i just checked and while the First item on a listing page has been changed to $3.95 s/h the rest of the same items still say $2.00 s/h

I wait 12 days (the day before I was going on 10 day vacation) and then emailed the seller that i had not yet received the items and asked him to provide me with a tracking number..he emails back and says the items were shipped but it can take time to reach mainland from Hawaii - he did not provide a tracking number. When I returned there was no package in the stuff I had held at the post office..and then I got busy with my own shipping and listings and decided on the 30th day after PP payment (from cash balance) to email him asking for tracking number or refund.

Here is his reply (sent the day later):
"I I do not know what happen to your order also, because we have long disbatch your order out already, at this moment the only thing we can offer you is to resend your package, but this time we would like you to consider adding insurance to your package, because if anything does hapen to your package again, we can put a trace, and find out what happen to the package, we charge $2.50 for insurance , let me know will this be workable for you.
Regards"

I feel like I am being held hostage here!! I cant get a PP refund now that 30 days is over and I can't even leave bad feedback since it is an AW store item.

What can I/should I do???

When you buy multiple things from a seller, especially one with this large an inventory, you need to email and ask them to send you an invoice for all items with the "combined" shipping cost. If you checkout each item individually, the items will be treated (by Paypal) as separate items. Also, don't ever pay before you get a notice from Vendio or the seller with the exact amount of shipping required. Had you waited, you would have seen the discrepancy in the shipping cost. Since you waited more than 30 days, there is not much you can do other than request another package and this time take the insurance.

He is listing SS chains on eBay Dutch Auction at @ 2.49 with $2.00 combined s/h still...!!!!!!
Edited by me..oh wait he has TWO s/h prices in the same listing :
"PLEASE PAY 3.95 SHIPPING AND HANDLING FOR ANY QUANTITY"
"Winning bidder agrees to pay $2 fo s/h and can be combined with other auctions in a 10 day span."

Why should I wait to hear the total s/h from a seller when it is CLEARLY spelled out in the listing? I made one PayPal payment for all three items (i know too well about PP fees) and referenced all three item numbers with my payment.

Maybe he won't be so lucky with the next winner he tries to change his stated shipping charges on. I know personally that when you are running a lot of auctions and you change something, it's difficult to remember what you changed and what you didn't. Still, I've always honored what is stated in my auctions even if I take a slight hit for it. I think that he should do the same. Also, insurance is $1.30 for up to $50. NOT $2.00. I'd point that out to him if you request he send another package.

Requesting an invoice from him and waiting for that is still more paper trail for you. That's just my business management cynical side coming through, I guess.
