I'm not sure I understand your question. If you mean that when one browses or searches and a thumbnail of your first picture in your auction shows up next to your title in the search results, it is because you paid for a "gallery listing". When you pay for a gallery listing, it puts the first image in the auction as a thumbnail next to your title.

When you use Vendio/Auction Watch Sales Manager, in each auction you create, go to the second page while creating/editing your item. It's tabbed "eBay Site Information". Click on "Add Item to the Gallery". The default picture for your thumbnail will be the first picture you added to that auction on its first page In Sales Manager.

But on the second page there is a little arrow you can use next to the name for the gallery image to scroll and pick any of the other pictures you have added to page one.

Want a different thumbnail picture than the first one in the auction description? Make sure you have loaded the pcture into Sales Manager, add it to the pictures in the box on the description page, then go to page 2 (Ebay info) and scroll down and pick it.

If you forget to pick "gallery" I think it can be added after uploading to Ebay, but I don't remember.

If you have already uploaded to Ebay, already picked "gallery", but want to change the gallery image/thumbnail, edit the auction on Ebay. While in edit mode, find the box where the gallery image URL is shown and change to the one you want to show up.

Does that answer your question?

lazymike,

You will have the thumbnail show up if you list the item through ebay and pick the "gallery" option.

There is also a way to write html code and put a thumbnail in without paying for gallery, but I don't know where I put the darn link to the info!

neglus,

Not free gallery, but html code to insert the thumbnail into your listing, next to the auction title to the left. Probably doesn't show up next to titles on search. Duh!

When you do gallery, you should get a thumbnail next to title in search, and near top left of auction page as well.

P.S. Sorry for being so brain dead! I'm starving. I have to lose 40 lbs. in 5 weeks before surgery. They say the mind is the first to go...

Good luck on your surgery! I would also like the html code to put the thumbnail up in the title line. I think that looks really great when the auction is pulled up and the picture is right there!

neglus and pmechler, thanks!

Yeah, I like the thumbnail in the lsiting when I'm shopping foir fabric so if it's ugly or the wrong color I can leave the auction before scrolling down! (Think mustard yellow paisley here!).

Okay, I'll go look again for it. It was in a website that had lots of tips and tricks.

Sorry, I still haven't found it. I've looked through all my HTML tutorial pages and either it's been removed or the page has changed.

If I run across it later, I will share in a new thread.

Sorry!
