HI,

Can anyone tell me how to list an item directly to my Ebay Store thru AW? I just opened a store and I seem to be going in circles to find the answer. Thanks so much!

Valerie,

You have to put Ebay store listings up on Ebay. AW does not support Ebay stores at all.

Also, if you copy and paste your picture URL's from AW's "manage imgaes" area into your listing created on Ebay, you will likley be charged per picture by AW in addition to your regular fees if you are on a monthly plan. AW's user guidelines (last time I read them) says picture hosting is free on some plans if their Auction Manager is used to post listings. Listings using AW hosted pics but not created in AW's Auction Manager Pro get charged for extra.

So if you use AW as your pic host and put AW pics in your Ebay store listings, you may pay an additional $.10 each for each picture used in each listing.

When AW's software spots these, they will be imported into your AW images file as an addional copy of the original pic, but with a long weird alphanumeric name. AW's software can detect the use of these pics on Ebay.

To track your Ebay store listings on AW, they can be imported. But if I remember correctly, AW Sales Manager "after auction" control panel does not recognize the closed sales as yours and you cannot send WBN's, or do other after-the-sale follow-up using AW software.

I would have put up with all of that if my Ebay store had been successful. I tried listing some of the same things in my Ebay store that I was selling easily in weekly auctions. NOBODY went into the store to buy, despite large additional gently encouraging links in all my auction listings. I ran the store for about 2 months during my heaviest sales period (Thanksgiving through Christmas) and didn't get diddly (one total) in sales there, but easily closed 50 successful auctions per week.

I hope this helps.

I put some relisted items in my Ebay store and was not charged any extra for the AW image which was integrated in my description (I guess i also put the url in the place where you put hosted images)

The way to put AW launched (including templates) relisted items in your store is a little complicated, but it worked fine for me:

go to eBay and select the unsold item and then select relist this item...go to edit description and copy the description (you may want to put this on word pad to make sure you don't lose it..I also copied the URL for the image under "pictures" and put on word pad to make sure I had that right..if you are really lazy you might want to copy the title too and put it in word pad...(then you have to do virtually no typing)

then you go to eBay "sell my item: and indicate it is a store item...plug in the things you copied to word pad and fill in the rest of the form..and voila ..you have a store item using your AW template and images

edited to add: I haven't sold anything from my store yet (haven;t had time to put much in there) but i think i am receiving some benefit on my auctions from my store...if you have enough items in your store (including active auctions i guess) in a certain category, your name appears on the left of the items in the category under "related stores"..I am not sure because there is no counter in the eBay store but I think this may bring in more lookers..also your name appears in aol's search engine right up there when people do a web search...this is all speculation of course..i know no one is going to my free AW store (really an auction gallery - i have posted no items there) because the counter only budges when i go in there..
