I would say due to much nicer weather alot of people are outdoors. The Flea Market was packed this weekend and they were buying good. People aren't going to sit in front of a computer when they can get out of the house.

My bids are up and everything is rolling along just fine. Dbest all of you post have been how bad e-bay is, how all the taxes are going to kill everything and nobody is bidding on you auctions. Maybe you should find a more productive and self satifying hobby.

My sales have been up since Christmas. I am amazed! I am a one person operation and I had to list less to keep up with the influx of email, shipping, packing and listing. Before Christmas it was a 50% to 70% sell through, now it's up to 95% sales on everything.

Homestead,
What are you selling? Duct tape and plastic sheeting? (joking)
My sell-through drops every time the threat of war seems around the corner.

I have good days and bad days..I list every day. Have found that Thursday nights which used to be a good night for sales are BAD now..think it's the new survivor/tv line up?? On the flip side, Monday nights were Bad and are now good...
I am finding people wait more til the last minute to bid..and overall, while my sell through rate has not changed much, people are paying more than they did before Christmas..
I don't think I will ever get this thing figured out in terms of the whys and wherefores..i just keep plugging away!

Neglus,
Yeah, the Survivor, CSI, Without a Trace lineup on CBS on Thursday night draws bidders away. I have had success having mine end about 10-15 minutes before Survivor comes on in Central Tome Zone.

Rather than edit, I figured I'd leave that for you all to laugh at!
Tome zone. Sounds like a website for books!
Of course, I meant TIME zone.

Hi Meadowlark,
'Tome zone. Sounds like a website for books! '
www.tomezone.com domain is taken but not being used. If fetish sold books would his/her website be called Tome Warp?

yes I have to agree Central tome zone. That is how I feel. When I end my auctions on either Sunday or Monday they are the best. Today was a banner day for me. Lots of late bids but no sniping. The bids this week were nice and steady and that's the way I like it. I hate it when my auctions sit all week with no bids until the end. That makes for not fun watching. I only list every other week. I try and clean up before I list again. I do start putting auctions on but only launch to end on a Sunday or Monday.

I post auctions everyday that seems to work well for me. I used to post them all Sunday night but now that I'm not working a public job it gives me more time to spend doing more auctions.

I always list so auctions end on Monday, Tues, and Wednesday. Those are my best days, but if I miss listing on one of those, I will list so they go off on Thursday. And almost always I get the last minute bidders; no bids until zero hour. I just feel people are preparing for the weekend on Friday and don't watch the auctions again until Monday.

I agree with homestead7. Weekdays - daytime are the best for me, too. I tried Sunday nights & was very disappointed. 3:15 PST does it for me.

I generally list mine for Sundays but no matter what the ending day is, the time is always 8pm PST. It has proven to be a good time for me for east coast bidders to get those last minute bids in before the late news/bed and good for west coasters as well. Overall I get a good mix of regions with that time. My most loyal buyer is on the east coast and never bids until about 5 minutes before the end...... it drives me crazy but I can't complain. He buys something every week as long as I list the catagory of items he wannts, generally between 5-10 of the items and his payment is always waiting for me first thing Monday morning.
