Someone bid on my item, then a day later, retracted the bid. I read the explanation, "Not ready to buy at this time." (We're talking about an opening bid of $9.99) I thought eBay tightened down the screws on bid retraction? Is there anything I can do to report this semi-deadbeat?

It is better this way. Maybe someone else who would not have bid before will now.
Good luck with the sale.

You can report them to Ebay. Depending on their past retractions they could be suspended.

I had somebody retract a $3 bid this week and all they said was "mistake". Just roll your eyes and move forward.
