I have a NASCAR T-shirt w/ 5 autographs & would like to know who they are (the signatures aren't exactly readable). Here are the initials, best I can tell, and their numbers. Can anyone tell me who they are??
#92 J.J.?
#81 B.A.?
#56 R.D.?
#21 M.D.?
(the last one has no #)
The T-shirt says SAM'S TOWN 250 Memphis Motorsports Park, October 29, 2000. I'd appreciate any help!

does the shirt have NASCAR on it, with the logo nascar any where on the shirt ??? I sell nascar items, and the numbers you listed, with the initials are not current drivers, that I know of. ?????
I will ask the other half, to be sure, but I don't think it is a licensed nascar shirt.
Any Thing else on the shirt, who is it made by.???

Yes, it DOES have Nascar on it. On the back of the shirt is a large picture of 2 cars racing (#41 is leading #16) & there's an oval in the midst of it that reads "NASCAR BUSCH Series, Grand National Division." At the bottom are 2 small logos: Action Sports Image & NASCAR. "Sam's Town" appears in about 4 different places, so I assume that was the sponsor. I'm afraid I know very little about racing except what I've absorbed from growing up in North Carolina! What do you think this shirt is worth? Someone valued it very much - it appears unworn & unwashed. Thanks!!

YES!! Those 3 appear to fit the autographs! Thanks! Now I'm curious to know more about them (one of the nice things about selling on e-bay - getting into things I didn't know I was interested in). And who is that mystery man #56??
Blaise Alexander was killed in a race last fall at Lowe's Motor Speedway. There might be some friends/family interested in that shirt. His family is from PA, his dad owns a car dealership.

Blaise Alexander was the son and grandson of Alexander Pontiac-Buick Cadillac, 800 Market St., Sunbury, PA 17801. They also have 2 other dealerships in PA. I'm sure they would be interested in this shirt. The phone # is: 570-286-4541.

Busch series drivers seem to change rather frequently from year to year, so someone who may have been driving a Busch car two years ago might not be today.
Autograph collecting is one of my hobbies. Nascar drivers are known to be prolific autograph signers--some of the best there are. The signatures of the drivers who signed the shirt would be worth very little individually because they are not big-name drivers at this point (however, the value for the Blaise Alexander signature, because of unfortunate circumstances, would be worth substantially more). Taken as a whole the T-shirt would be worth more than individually signed pieces. I have no idea what the value would be, though. You would have to find the right person enthusiastic about the item. You can check the alt.collecting.autographs newsgroup if you want to try to get an approximate value.
As nice as it might be to offer the shirt to Alexander's family, I don't think they would necessarily be interested in it (although I'm sure it wouldn't be turned down as a gift), nor should you feel obligated to offer it to them. I hope that doesn't sound crass, but drivers have oodles of memorabilia, and I'm sure his family has many mementos, autographs included.

Thanks - my first moral dilema as an e-bay seller!! I don't feel comfortable profiting off of someone else's death, yet I DID pay $ for this. Heavy sigh! A Nascar friend told me the same thing, that the family is probably up to their eyeballs in memorabilia & that a T-shirt wouldn't mean that much. I dunno. I want to do the right thing!
That would be an interesting thread to start: moral dilemmas that buyers/sellers have struggled with. Hmmmm...
