Got a problem and could use some advice from anyone w/experience...
I have be TRYING to sell a 1982 "DAYTONA BEACH SPRING BREAK" travel magazine that was published by Playboy and given to kids from high school and college as a guide to events in the town back then but Ebay keeps ending my auctions for TOS. arghhh!!!!!!!
The magazine has NO NUDITY, PROFANITY, or anything else that violates any of the TOS and was a free magazine distributed by hotels and area attractions back then. I would consider it PG rated at worst and then just for the liquor ads.
I listed it in magazines, and Ebay ended it. I relisted as they insisted under Mature Audiences ( which it is NOT ) and promptly got almost NO HITS over 10 days and no sale. Frustrated, I tried carefully rewording the ad and spelling out there was no adult content or nudity in it all over the ad very plainly, and just THEY ENDED IT AGAIN!!!!
What can you do when they end auctions wrongly and how do I go about making this item stay listed long enough to be sold - any suggestions most appreciated! thanks!!

I believe ebay's arbitrary rule is that Playboy magazines published prior to 1980 can be sold in the magazines category, while the magazines published after 1980 must be sold in the Mature category (I seem to recall the 1979 centerfolds were just as nude as the 1980 ones...). I just did a search on the magazine category and I'm not finding any PB's published after 1980, so I'm guessin ebay has some sort of program that looks for "Playboy" and a range of years, then automatically pulls them off the site. You may want to try posting your auction without mentioning the year in the auction title in hopes that you'll get bypassed by ebay's morality 'bot.
Alternately, you may want to try selling it on PB's own auction website:
I haven't sold on their site myself, but I've heard that a lot of PB collectors scan the auctions since it's a lot easier than dealing with ebay's two-tiered system. That might be just the target audience you need for selling a somewhat oddball piece like you have. Good luck!
