And. . . the 31st is Easter Sunday and I won't be having any auctions closing that evening! I think I'll launch them then, to run for 7 days, and back off after that during the tax season.

Last Easter Sunday, eBay unleashed some major changes that screwed everything up for days and crippled my auction management software temporarily.

Shucks, I doubt I'm going to list anything until after April 15 anyway. Sales were going like gangbusters up until last week...I figure it's tax season.

"If you don't list that'll be more for us who do."
Actually, that's a fallacy.
eBay browsers are looking for specific items or specific categories of items or items related to a hobby or interest. If you don't have that hobby item in stock and I do (but it's on the shelf for now), you are not automatically going to get the sale that I wouldn't.
There is no fixed amount of cash to be spent in any eBay day among all potential bidders. Even if you took the average amount spent per day and divided it by the number of sellers active on that day, it wouldn't be a meaningful result. Too many variables.
You are, however, welcome to your fallacy if it comforts you.

It won't change my mind about listing. I don't run my life on "what ifs" so I will just list as usual and hope for the best.
Also if a buyer can't find one item they want they may just buy another on a whim and hopefully it will be what I am selling.
Besides, after next week or the week after that something else could go wrong with ebay.

I will maybe list for Christmas, until then I couldn't be bothered as I can do better selling at the Flea Market at least I can get money for my goods and not have to worry about people giving everything away at a penny.Sorry but I'm not that hungry and I've got better things to do, I don't give a damn about being a Powerseller.E-Bay doesn't mean anything to me.
