I don't think a deadbeat qualifies for reporting - A credit agency is for those who borrow money basically, this is someone who is refusing to pay, but they do not have possession of the item. You are not their creditor, so you don't have the right to report them for that. Even so, the credit agencies are probably not set up to take reports from just anyone, I imagine you probably have to pay to use their services as a creditor.

I think that you might do better in dealing with collections from deadbeat bidders who stiff you with fraudulent chargebacks or bad checks. I believe there is at least one service available for that sort of thing.
Keep in mind that you need to be dealing with amounts that make this sort of thing worthwhile.
If eBay threatened to turn deadbeats over to collection/credit agencies, deadbeats would be close to a thing of the past. Better yet, their credit cards would be charged for all fees related to an unpaid auction.

If ebay charged my credit card because a seller said I did not pay, that would put an end to my bidding on ebay, as well as many others. There are just too many variables to give them permission to do that. Sure you would get rid of a lot of deadbeats, but you would get rid of a lot of active buyers as well. Just not worth it in my opinion.

how come some sellers threathen to turn people in to collection agencies????
are they bluffing? I am sure they are.
whenever i see such blatant lies it makes me want to bid and then not pay just to rub it on their faces.
getting an ebay id is way too easy, no actual information has to be given, the only thing required for verification is a non free email account, so it happens that anybody with some knowledge of how the net works can easily create those accounts.
