We had a discussion about the usability of this email service that CLAIMS to be able to inform you when your email is read by the recipient. I had serious doubts about its being able to do this, and just got a supposed "confirmation" from them:
Subject: Testing the confirmation feature
Correct subject
Read When: Tue, 25 Sep 2001 05:02:05 +0900 (KST)
Absolutely WRONG ... I downloaded and deleted the mail a week ago, with a text-only email client.
Read Where: (TC2-dial-41-195.oldslip.inch.com [216.223.195.41])
Absolutely WRONG: That is nowhere near my dialup space
The "notice" was accompanied by an ad for their for-pay services ... make your own conclusions.
