Got this e-mail from a bidder...
'"Entry Date: October 2, 2000
Effective Date: October 31, 2000
PayPal plans to introduce the ability to send money to, and receive money from, international users in 26 countries by Halloween. There will be no additional fees for domestic customers to send or receive international payments."
Hmmm... I see no mention of it on the Paypal WWW site.
Can anyone confirm this? Was it a direct e-mail to customers?

So... I always avoided the Paypal posts in the past... should a seller Join up?
I know alot of bidders do ask for it.

If I depended on these threads to decide if I should use eBay I'd find myself using another auction service.
Message threads and news stories don't always agree.

Apparently Paypal is now of the opinion that since its show played so smoothly "off-Broadway," it is now ready for the bigtime.

HCQ I can't wait to see the results.
Even I question the feasibility of PayPal's international payments. Short of having a US bank accepting international accounts I don't see how they can do it.

I am hoping that they will freeze that slimeball's account who defrauded me out of $300 before I have to do a chargeback. It appears that if I do the chargeback then my account will be frozen. I could care less about the whole idea of them charging, my mind will not be changed on that. They advertise Fraud Protection, but a seller could send a buyer a box of rocks, as another poster so nicely put it, but if you received something in the mail then the insurance does not apply. The practice of freezing a buyer's account when they have done nothing but try to recover funds on a deal gone bad sucks. Just plain sucks. Heather

Have you payHell.com critics considered my stock advice in these situations of:
1) File a formal written complaint with either your State's Attorney General Office/Consumer Affairs Office (just your states WWW home page)
2) Use a gripe service like planetfeedback.com, and request that they make your gripe public.
