I've got an auction ending in about 6 hours. There has been quite a bit of bidding on it, but one person in particular has the high bid right now- I noticed that a deadbeat with a -2 (3 negatives, 1 positive) went in a placed about 4 bids, driving the price up quite a bit. However, the one person still has the high bid. My question is... if the current high bidder who has 5 positive feedbacks ends up winning, should I offer to lower the price to what their bid was before this deadbeat went in and bid? Is that too nice? Obviously the person put a high proxy on the auction. I'm just thinking that if the "db" comes back and does win it, I won't want to sell the item to them anyway. Should I cancel the "db"'s bids even though they aren't high bidder? Oh the turmoil!!!!!!

I wouldn't touch it. Consider that many sellers don't even glance at their auctions to see who is/has bid during the course of them, I know I don't. So why do you have to go in and cost yourself money?
