Today I got paid for 3 of my Ebay auctions via Yahoo's PAyDirect service. I have been using the service for selling on Yahoo & it is wonderful, especially since it is integrated into Yahoo in much the same way that Billpoint is integrated into Ebay. BUT you can use PAyDirect to send money to anyone with an email address, so you're not limited to using it just for Yahoo auctions!
I love the service! Right now it is free. They are upfront that they will start charging fees eventually, but I think none of us have problems with paying a fair price for a good service as long as we know what we're getting ourselves into UPFRONT.
It looks to me like PAyDirect will be a viable alternative to PAyPal.

I do. I find that if the customer has a paydirect account already they prefer it. Paydirect is new but catching on. I don't know of any new people that signed up by bidding on E-bay, but there are a lot of people that surf both auctions now and I like how smoothly paydirect runs and no fees of course is always nice. I advertising paydirect in all my auctions. However, you can't link to paydirect in your auctions because that will take them to Yahoo and that is not allowed in ebay which is understable. Now that Billpoint has taken their fees down I am going to try that to. Seems that billpoint runs a lot smoother then Paypal and the little bit more it worth it but I will be trying to lead people to paydirect since it is free.
