I've got a book that I picked up at a Tokyo comic book sale a few years ago. Although the book was sold to me personally by a fairly famous comic artist, I didn't really think much of it at the time. I basically just bought the book as an excuse to go and talk to the lady. Cost me a thousand yen (about USD $9.00 or so).
Well, three years later, I'm browsing the listings on eBay, and what should I come across but a listing for this very same book. Apparently it was only ever sold on the one day that I bought it, and with 4 days left in the auction, it's up to $510.00! Cool!
Anyway, I'm going to wait until the current auction is finished, and then list mine. I'm certainly not new to Ebay (I was using it back in 1996, although I've only ever listed 20 or so things on it), but this is a first for me!
Anyway, sorry to bore everyone, I just wanted to share my good news with someone. Now maybe I can finally get that digital camera!

How exciting! Good luck with your auction.
Don't be disappointed if yours doesn't make it as high as the first one, though. I've noticed that there tends to be a big frenzy for an item which is the first of its kind to make an appearance, and slightly smaller frenzies for subsequent entries. I'm sure it's different in every situation, though -- there's no predicting human factors.

I wish I was saying "I've got one of those" more often. Lately it seems to be "damn, I SAW one of those the other day for a dollar!" or "didn't mom used to have one of those??" lol.
