I'm annoyed that eBay doesn't allow us to leave feedback for non-registered users. There's times I want to leave negatives for deadbeats, but sometimes they're kicked off eBay before then and I'm unable to do it. Anybody know why eBay has this policy, and are there any plans to change it?

I understand your frustration, but they're already gone so it wouldn't have any effect. (Of course, you could check in 30 days to see if it was just a 30-day suspension, not a permanent one; if so, you can neg them when the account is reactivated.)

Too, to be equitable, if people were allowed to leave feedback on NARU'd accounts, then those NARU'd accounts would have to be able to leave feedback as well.

I usually give an auction at least 6 weeks (42 days) before I leave a negative. By the time they'd be reinstated, my 60-day time period for leaving a negative would have passed.

Also, why should a non-registered user be able to leave feedback? They're not registered, so they can't buy or sell anymore; they shouldn't still be able to leave feedback.

I, too, would like to know why we couldn't leave negative feedback on a non-reg user.. right, they can't bid any longer so it shouldn't have that big of an effect, but I had one guy bid on 5 items.. never pay (int'l guy) and by the time I went to leave negative feedback, he was no longer registered. What he DID, however, was get a new user name with a clean slate, bid on 3 of the same 5 items I had relisted, and again.. did not pay and was no longer registered under his NEW name by the time I went to leave neg feedback. I wanted SO badly to let sellers know his previous ID (Yes, I'm certain it's the same guy as I have the info requests emails showing the exact same name and address..) but could not do it. I've relisted the same items AGAIN now and am watching with bated breath, waiting for him to bid again... but what could I do? Nuthin. Stinks. :P

The reverse is also true. I was incorrectly NARU'd by eBay (they offered to reinstate me but I told them to take a hike!). I had completed several very satisfactory auctions (as a buyer and a seller) before being NARU'd. Neither I, nor my trading partners are able to post any kudos about each other

PS - I had also started a thread on one of eBay's Community pages about how I was mistreated. Several people have responded to that thread stating their thoughts and opinions, and asking me for further details. I cannot even respond to these people either

I agree with snapman. I tried to leave feedback for a deadbeat and he had already been NARUed. I believe I should be able to leave feedback for him as he deserved MY feedback. I think that anyone who had the NARUed person as a customer before he was NARUed should be able to leave feedback. I have written e-bay about this - maybe they should rethink this policy.
