Happens sometimes. Go back to the auction and click 'mail this auction to a friend'. Add your own message to it.

kathy, I never thought of that!
I have trouble sometimes when the addy contains the number 1 and the small letter l. They look the same on my computer and in my email program.
You can also request the bidders info which will also give you their name and phone number.

Give them some time.
Sometimes an email provider will go down and cause emails to bounce.
You might try pulling the contact info and try to reach them by phone.

One more thing that I think was missed in the other replies: eBay feedback is different than Yahoo!
On eBay, you can only leave feedback ONCE and only once for each transaction. Once feedback is left, you can't change it! If you leave a neutral asking them to contact you, you can't go back in later and change it to a positive. I shop Yahoo also and I have seen this done, which makes it nice, but you can't do the same thing at eBay.

kellyb1-
I do copy the winners email address from the auction for my records, but when I email them the first notification I simply click on their email address next to their bidder name on the listing. That way there is no mistake; you are sending to the address that they gave ebay. If that one comes back as undeliverable I try the "send this auction to a friend" trick. If still no answer after 7 days I file NPB.
Sure makes you wonder that they wanted the widget so much that they bid on it then never get in touch with you afterwards.

Bidder has 60 rating no neg. I have sent 2 emails and the both came back. I will try the email to a friend and see if that works, Thanks for all of your help.

akt - I encountered the same situation a few months ago - winning bidder email bounced. I contacted eBay and in a very short time they wrote back saying they suspended the bidder because of invalid contact information. Of course, this doesn't get your $ for the auction!

Wait the seven days after the auctions close and then file the NPB alert. That either gets them to come out of the woodwork or they will ignore it. Then you can file for credit 10 days after doing the NPB.
In general, I wait two days after the NPB to relist an item, but every time I've had an unresponsive bidder they never turn up, no matter what their rating happens to be. I would also forward the fact that the email address is coming back invalid to [email protected].

In a case where all email contact to the registered contact address bounces, I recommend notifying Ebay (email to Safe Harbor with subject "INVALID CONTACT INFO" ). This will result in the user either updating the info with a working email address or a suspension. Granted, a suspension doesn't get your money for the auction, but it does protect you from a bidder negging you because you never contacted him. I would only recommend investing your money in LD phone calls if you're dealing with a pricey item that you don't want to relist, or when the bidder has an otherwise sterling record and you're comfortable that it's an ISP problem and not buyer's remorse or game playing.
Edited to remove mysterious little winking smiley that appeared out of nowhere.....

I have had trouble like that in the past...now I use an alternate email provider...like yahoo instead of hotmail...you gotta get to a different ISP. My ISP just won't get email to some users no matter how many times you try...each route you use via eBay still uses YOUR same ISP.
