So you want to keep paypal free? Then how about these rules for the free paypal account.
(1)You can only move money from the account on the 1st and 15th of the month, that way Paypal is not sending out checks, or electronic transfers every day for small amounts, for every $100 left in the account you get 1 more sweep day, so if you keep a average balance of $1000.00 you can sweep every 3rd day.
I know of sellers requesting a check everytime the get a deposit, true cost of sending the check, is $1.25, that Paypal spends printing, envloping, and mailing a check.
Paypal said that they would make thier money on the float, well if you get a deposit at 10 AM, and request a check by noon on a $5.00 item there is no float, just a $1.25 cost, I think that the cost of EFT is about 30 cents.
Free accounts yes, but with strict restrictions, as I know of sellers on Yahoo requesting transfers of cash on a 10 cent sports card.
I have tried to do my part, as I keep a $200 balance in my account, and only transfer funds, in $300.00 or better amounts.
That way they have something to float.
Before you bad mouth this think of how you may have caused this reaction, by your own useage.
I will bet that if I keep my account active in this manor, I will never be requested to open a bussiness account, as my buying with Paypal using funds on deposit, not a credit card. equals about 70% of my sales.
For you folks that want to run the NO PAYPAL banners, please continue. I bet I get better bids.

We used to do the same as you. We would not initiate a transfer until the balance reached a certain amount(say $300 - $400) and we would leave a $100 balance as a float. We started sweeping our account every day, as have others, in response to the verification fiasco..
They lost our trust and will have to work hard to earn it back (If that is ever possible).

If you have a problem with ebay, and have to move to another site for 30 days, being a verified paypal seller just might save your sales, as I have found out, as ebay suspended me for 30 days, for spam, my wife forgot to save the emails for the folks that agreed to be on our mailing list, the only sales I have closed have been Paypal, Yahoo and Golds, and when I asked them, they said that the Verified logo made them trust us with 0 feedback. Everyone,
Once again, threads concerning PayPal are dominating the eBay Outlook. I am going to lock this thread, and ask that you confine your comments concerning PayPal to one of the PayPal threads that have been left open in the eBay Outlook, or post in the Partner Services Forum.
