Femme, I am truly appalled. If you look directly above your last post you will see that indeed I posted to your thread first. Eloquently and thoughtfully I might add.

Oh, I don't pay ATTENTION to 5, Gravid.

I only pay attention to AW.

Somehow you and I are a little skewed. I preferred watching the football games. BUT, no burping allowed.

Good night, all.

We're in trouble now. Mr. and Mrs. Sappy are breeding! Proof, there couldn't be just one. There has to be two Sappies.

We need some sort of official secret room here at AW. They appear to be (or in some cases, have been) all the rage. Or so I've read on other boards.

Since Femme is feeling ornery, I think that she would be a good leader for such a project.

No, no, Antiquary! The leader should be Borillar. That way we'll all be sure to hear the juicy details.

Well, yes, Irene. We definitely wouldn't want any secrets to remain there. It would be wise, however, that there be no bird mascots involved.

Antiquary,Irene,There is a secret room here at AW. Haven't you been invited yet? Where do you think I've been for the last few days?

OK, that's a lie. There is no room here secret or otherwise.

KRS. I have given up on you. :P I know you just wanted to say my name.Rawbunzel~sorta rolls off the tounge, no? if it gets said three times in a row I appear ~ just like Beetlegeuse {or Beetlejuice?}
Be careful ~ Once I appear I am really hard to get rid of.

Antiquary,

Thank you for your vote of confidence; however, you may want to reconsider me as your leader for the secret room.

It would probably go to my head and I would insist on being addressed as Her Orneriness. It wouldn't be pretty.

What would I name the secret room?

The Snake Pit

I've turned the boredom here to my advantage. Read a 500 page novel over the last couple days. Haven't done that in awhile.

My eyes are so bad from looking at the computer monitor I haven't read a long book in ages. I'm envious.

The Snake Pit Room. I like it!

Still waiting for KRS to correct my spelling . I purposely miss-spelled a word back there. I was SURE that would draw him in.Didn't work. heavy sigh

Hi Spaz, well now I have two questions.

One, did you get my message I sent you a few days ago at The House???? (apologies, I don't know how else to reach you when you're not here)

Two, what book did you read?

Thanks

The House? I haven't been there in ages. Didn't know we could get messages there either.

The book was Smilla's Sense of Snow.

The House wouldn't let me view my messages. I can log in, post, whatever. But when I click on the "You Have New Message" link, nothing happens. Ditto for clicking on the "Messenger" link.

I haven't seen the movie version of Smilla yet, only the last three minutes -- in fact, it was the last three minutes that intrigued me to read the book in the first place.

I've read reviews of the movie, though. The best review it received came from Roger Ebert, who praised it for its style and atmosphere but conceded that the plot was useless. In fact, he recommended throwing out the plot and just keeping the rest. Other reviews were far less charitable.

xifene,

Does:
"Was that a pointless enough post to allow me to keep my designation as female in your eyes"
mean that you too are considering a gender transformation?

Rawbunz! You're not Nekked.
