Good luck with it Bonnie! It's colder (because of the wind) than it's been in a long time! It was about 40 degrees on Monday at 10 pm news and -15 on Tuesday at 10 pm. Thankfully it will be warmer this weekend as the front moves your way. Button up!

Glassgrl - we PRAY for ONLY six more weeks of winter. We can get frost as late as Memorial Day (though the trees start getting leaves about Mothers Day). I'd say another 12 weeks of winter if we are lucky.
Button up again Bonnie and Max - we're sending you another blast from the freezer.

Stone - I am wearing my Sorel boots so I can bear sitting at my PC. My "office" is located on our porch which is insulated and heated but the floor is unbelievably cold today. We are only 86 degrees colder at noon than Glasgrl in Panama City!

It looks like the thermometer for my weather widget is stuck at -15 (must have been too cold at the imaginary hospital where they say the weather station is located). Temp now is right about 0. The worst has passed here but I don't envy you Bonnie!
I don't understand your question Stone? It was 71 in Panama City and -15 here...isn't that 86 degree difference? I guess I have to learn Billy Cobb math.

OMG Bonnie! We didn't get that blast here first - we're balmy with fresh snow. I think (knock on wood) the worst of the cold is over for us, though March is usually our snowiest month. The good news is that people FINALLY have learned how to drive in snow again (only to forget before November rolls around). Stay warm!

Carolyn, Well slap me silly. I hadn't even given that side of this depressing winter a thought.Your right.. maybe I should just paint my windows to LOOK like sunshine and green grass and flowers. I could live with that for a while. Thanks for bringing me to my senses. McJane its snowing AGAIN today. So far this winter we have had 112" in Whitefield. 7" more and we tie the record snow of 1853... It's going to happen. Some towns in NH have so much snow they are running out of spaces to pile it up.We have 35 ft MTS of snow at our little airport where we "dump" our snow, The really awful part of this is the number of folks who have lost their homes and businesses because of roofs caving in.A million dollar boat storage building yesterday, another business just this morning, both in central NH. One of my favorite auctioneers lost his building in Jan.His roof came right down along with 2 other business on that Main St block. Thank God there was no one in the building at the time.

I went to the beach yesterday to walk on our pier in Huntington Beach(Longest pier on the West Coast). It was a lovely 70 with a slight breeze due to Santa Ana conditions. I am very spoiled with our weather. I love the ocean, watching the people on the beach, the surfers in the water(best surfing is North of our pier). I miss driving my sons to surfing practice.

Double digits below zero again today! We haven't had much snow this year but we've had the SAME SNOW on the ground for 97 days and counting. Don't eat the yellow (or black as the case may be) snow! Supposed to reach 40 next week - we'll be donning shorts and sandals and gazing wistfully at the frozen lakes. Ice houses had to be off on the 29TH but they are still driving on the lake behind our house. Ice out date is usually April 15th. They start skiing (in wet suits) the next week. I am SO ready for Spring!

We just got rid of all the ice we had from a terrible ice storm a couple of days ago. We're expecting a Nor' Easter (Tom, you should know what that is) this afternoon. By tomorrow night we will have 12" or more of new snow on the ground. I certainly hope this is our last blast.

Niel, looks like the tornado hit. Just saw it on the news, 12:15 pm. Hope it wasn't near you.
Are you OK.
A gloomy dreary depressing day here & rain expected later to maybe cause the Delaware, Schuylkill & Lehigh rivers to reach flood stage.
I don't live near the rivers & even if I did it wouldn't flood my house. I'm way up on a hill.
Temp is: 45 in Glen Mills, PA

No, not near me. I live not far from a train track so when I hear a train go by I am never sure whether it is a tornado or a train.

I just can't understand why anybody wants to live where it's cold and snowy. Pics are beautiful and a vacation there would be nice but other than that NO WAY!
Almost time to put the pool up again
