Tom/Ralphie
This is horrible! I do not know why people with the intellect to "hack" don't put it to better use.
I know what you mean about moving photos, I am starting and it is a true paint in buttocks! It is a slow process, probably take several months.
Sorry to see this happen to anyone, but especially to someone who works hard selling on eBay.
Tom and Ralphie are always so helpful with advice --wish I could help.
THANKS for all yer help! Even though Ralphie is EXTREMELY internet savvy, we never would have tracked down the NEW owners on our own...
I don't think it was an innocent snafu...I'm convinced that it was caused by either:
1) Someone on the OUTSIDE going after ME-N-RALPHIE...
/or/
2) Someone on the INSIDE going after the new owners, & we just ended up in the cross-hairs...
Nathaniel says that my folders are now "locked-down" and that I should encounter no more security problemos...Just remember, though, that: THE CHECK IS IN THE MAIL...+...I PROMISE NOT...+...ANY DAY NOW, THOSE IRAQI WMDs WILL POP UP & SMILE...+...ETC,ETC...

Tom and Ralphie
You do know that if anyone messed with your photo host folders and you suspect someone from here, you need to look to the RT. You wouldn't be the first one to be messed with. Crowfarm had an awful mess with her auctions not too long ago. She determined it was someone from the RT.
Let me know if there's anything I can do. Here's what I recommend. Get a domain name through GoDaddy. You can host your own pics for $3.99/mo. You'll get more space than you'll ever use!! They have great support and rarely do they go down.

Tom...I'm sure that you, like most of us, go to great lengths to keep keystroke loggers off your computer, and don't have a password that's easily guessed. Your most likely source for outside access would be someone in your own neighborhood who is also on Comcast cable. Your local Comcast people can check that out for you. If it was someone on the inside at the image host, you certainly do have a basis for a suit against them. Their TOS is to convince the weak kneed customers that they cannot be held liable for their stupid mistakes or simple negligence. There is no way in the world they can escape liability for the malicious and illegal actions or gross negligence of an employee, no matter how smart the attorney was who typed up the drivel on their TOS. Their ultimate liability is not determined by a disclaimer. It's determined by a judge and/or a jury.

about 3 weeks ago, there were 10 auctions on my auction site that were not mine. Computer stuff and such. I panicked and called eBay, I did not have the numbers to give them, soooo every auction was stopped. Gone. I changed all my pass words, eBay Paypal, Finally after many chats etc. I am up and running.. If I had given eBay the auction numbers, all of them would not have been deleted. I am sorry it happened to you. I store my pics in my computer and only transfer what I need, and delete when the auction is over. I used auction watch when it was free. I don't know any other way to list I am afraid. Sounds like I had better learn..

I'm OK now...THIS AM, I was a'bouncing off the walls, chewing the carpet -- Ralphie learned a whole new COLORFUL nautically inspired vocabulary!
I was paranoid that, due to my political views, which tend to be slightly, teeny-weeny. lidddle itsey-bitsey left of center (well, maybe not quite little bit...maybe "somewhat?" Now that I think about it, THIS wasRalphie's FIRST baby lullaby)
someone hacked our SACRED image folders, intending greivous harm to Ralphie-&-moi...
But, happily, it now looks like an "inside job," and things are getting back to their normal state of wackieness around here...
So, I just told old LARD-BUTT to unpack his STEAMER CHEST, as we ain't going nowhere...

OK my friend, that's better. Insane to leave your pals on VD & unthinkable you would take our mascot. Vendio would never be the same without you two.
As for your political views.
Lots of laughs.
Ralphie, I knew you could talk some sense into him. Good boy.

One thing I learned from my yucky Spare Dollar experience (thank God they are now InkFrog)! Be careful who you host with! What is cheap now can be very expensive (in time and dollars) later. Web hosting sites that rest on one man's shoulders are very vunerable!

Glad your all fixed up now. What a scare..
LtRay: That Georgie thing is hilarious. I sent it on to some friends. You can actually bop him around only thing missing is a little bruising and nose bleeds. LOL Just too funny. I almost forgot to come back here and keep up with everything. Thanks for the slapstick.

Yeh, Kathy Cowfarm, Mingotree, witch, extreme hardline demomoron, goofy in the head, but still shouldn't of had her eBay account attacked. That was stooping to her level.

I love Bubble Boy! I tried to get him to stand up straight when he was lodged between a group of bubbles but it looks like they forgot to give him a backbone...

Talking about image storage has anyone seen the Photobucket Bucketshow feature. I was looking and it is kinda neat and can use it on ebay. Just don't know if you have to be a paying member to use it or not. I only use it for this boards posting pictures so I don't take up space on my Vendio. Don't think you can use BBC code with it though. drawback is if you don't have 300X300 images to use in them they may distort, they are resized so you would need perfectly square pics. NO fun.
They also have a thing called Filmloop you can put on your PC to view others filmloop found one on ebay through their example but it requires that whoever views the loop must download the program to their PC
