OTWA and other forums consist of people like you, Ace, talking to people like you, Ace.

They can and do frequently get things completely wrong.

In case my meaning was unclear:

It's becoming obvious that Ace is one of those self-proclaimed experts who laps up every word written about online auctioning without engaging the discrimination circuitry. SPEs list very few auctions as all their spare time is reserved for serious, in-depth research (i.e. digesting the comments of persons just like them.)

::Fenix, read the thread from the ebay feedback forum link that I posted. Are there that many posters that got the wrong idea? ::

I read the thread Ace and yes- there are that many people that lack reading comprehsion skills.

The new options being added are the ability to differentiate, by tab, BUYER feedback and SELLER feedback. In addition in those fields there will be pretty new symbols to aid the illiterate in identifying Positive, Negative and Neutral feedback by color.

There is not a single piecce of text in Ebays annoucement or in it's graphic depiction that shows any other differentiating option.

If by chance am incorrect and over looked it - PLEASE post that that text. No links, no mention of what other people are hearing rumonrs of - please post the actual ebay generated text or picture that states differently.

Thanks Fluffy the bargin seller of one cent cheapo sterling silver misfit jewelry.

We'll see in February if the dozens of posters were wrong or the perfect Fluffy of Silly Valley and Fenix03 are indeed correct.

Ace - you can be as snide as you want but I see that you have not provided any actual text from ebay that supports your interpretation of the upcoming changes. I like sarcasm as much if not excessively more than the next guy but when used to deflect the topic it's just petty.

I find it petty of you to not see what so many other posters see right off. Ebay is going to make it easy for both buyers and sellers to see the good and bad feedbacks at a glance or a mouseclick.
I personally think that ebay may change their idea when the major sellers cry foul because they have so many negative feedbacks due to their huge number of sales. The major sellers have a lot more clout than the small hobby sellers.

Ace - Please go to this page
http://pages.ebay.com/services/forum/newfb2.html
and point out where it states or shows that feedback will be sorted by neg, pos, neutral status.

What I see is that it states

• New Tabs for Different Types of Feedback
The tabs shown on the page are for
All Feedback Recieved
From Sellers
From Buyers
Left for others

I also see all three types of feedback on the same page.

Next time you decide to call me petty - please at least provide provide some type of ebay provided information that supports your version of this upcoming change. If all you have is the opinion of other ebayers, I have a historical beef. How do you call these people illiterate one day and experts the next?

What the hell is a tab? A tab is an easy way to see something. Click on the tab and that category is displayed.

Yes Ace I know what a tab is, and I will type this very slowly so as to make it more simple for you.... the tabs are for seller feedback, buyer feedback and feedback left for others. I thought that was made clear in my post above - or even in the graphic on the page I posted but apparently this level of accuracy is over your head.

I take it that means that you have no EBAY provided basis for your assumption? Is it really that hard for you to admit that you misinterpreted the info?

I think it means that you think you are correct even though a LOT of other posters on other boards instantly saw what ebay had in mind and it was very clear to them but not to you. You must have 152 negatives to fear the new change?

I think Ace and a LOT of other posters misinterpret the feedback changes. Where does it show a tab to sort the negatives from the positives? There isn't one. I doubt there will be one.

Ace - When have I ever expressed fear? I have express dismay at the ignorance and lack of reading comprehension of ebay board posters. I have giggled incesantly overt he past two days at your childlike stubborness backed by complete unwillingness or inability to justify your interpretation using actual facts. But I have yet to express fear.

Kiara - It warms my heart to see that at least one other person on this board capable of understanding the written word

No, I've got (under one ID) 152 negatives.

No one cares, Ace. No one cares. See, this is what happens when your life is so devoid of meaning that you get caught up in the fantasy world of message boards. You start believing with all your heart that feedback matters. You preen and fancy yourself an expert. You point a finger and then flounder in confusion when you draw back a bloody stump.

I don't know you. I don't want to know you. But I give you the same advice I'd give any other stranger: Put the keyboard down, back away from the computer with your hands up and no one gets hurt.

Children, GO TO YOUR ROOMS! For God's sake, this is Christmas week. You've all said what you want to say about 30 times. Trying to have the last word starts to get verrrry borrrring.

Love you all, though.

I only said it ONCE. But I will say it again. I don't think Ace or a LOT of posters on a lot of boards know what they're talking about when it comes to the feedback changes.

So Ace - I'm wondering which are your true colors. The person that compliments Fluff on creating a successful business module and curring favor with numerous sources of inventory or the petty child that turns to insulting her inventory when she disagrees with you?

Wow! has this thread gotten derailed!

Ace - I think that if you'll read further down on the links you provided, you will find posters that say what Fe and Fluff are saying..the eBay announcement says nothing about segregating negative feedback like the service the OP discovered. It seems eBay is going to have some kind of icons to make the color blind among us better able to read what now appears in big red letters. The sample report from EBay does not break out the negatives on a separate page..but WHAT WILL BE, WILL BE...doesn't do much good to fret about before it becomes an actuality. EBay has proven that it answers to its shareholders and not to sellers.

And my final comment on this is...MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!PEACE ON EARTH! GOODWILL TO ALL PEOPLE!

Fenix,
The thread posted by auctiondoofus isn't the thread I was reading. I wish I could find the thread now so I could post it. I do know that it didn't have anything in concrete though. They were going to contemplate being able to seperate the negs from the pos and neutrals. So far though, I have not seen anything else on eBay's part to say that they are going to implement such a component. Only that they were experimenting with it. I guess the thing to do is to wait and see what comes in the next few months.
