Damn! Twinsoft left before I could get an autograph. Just one of his cameos I guess.
That reminds me. There was a fundamentalist radio preacher who used to sell autographed photos of Jesus Christ. During the sixties, I think and his broadcasts were from Del Rio, Texas. Word about him went around and we all listened once, just to hear him. Wonder if he's still around? Probably worked on the Bush campaign if so.

So, now President elect Bush is not only an appearant monkey man, but a murderer as well, without having set a foot in the White House yet....hmmmm, wow what logic. Maddie, I left this forum last year, for specific circumstances...as for both guns blazing, why not?! Everyone else in here can do it, why can't I? Is it because I am "bigioted in my views"? Or am I, by proclaiming the Gospel, and usine the Bible to answer these posts, a "thumper"? It is not either. krs knew what kind of response he may evoke with his title, and with the first few posts here. My opinion does count, contrary to some members of this forums opinion, and I will state it. Now, to get back to the topic at hand, why is it when pro life is mentioned, or responsibility needs to be taken, or ABSTENENCE is mentioned, it's called useless, and a waste of time, that kids will not listen. But the kids now a days will listen to this, if only for thier survival. At least when they abstain from sex (as with anyone else who isn't married), then AIDS, herpies and other STD's are not as communicable. And, it would lead to the end of abortion, as 90% of abortions are to unmarried women. And who knows, maybe some of those aborted children, who would have attained voting age in this election, may have cast enough votes to settle that long affaire. WHO KNOWS, THEY HAVE NO VOICE ANYMORE!
In the begining, God created the heavens and the earth.

I doubt that even the subject of the photograph could quell that storm. They'll all be back for communion though.

A few years back the State of NY decided to re-introduce land locked salmon into Fish Creek near where I live. There was a vocal minority that were quite opposed. The DEC sent reps to the town meeting to explain the program and the logic behind it.
There was one woman who stood out in the length and the loudness of her opposition. She espoused that it would cause people to act unnaturally and there would be fornicating on the creek banks as heathens came in to fish for the salmon.
ddicffe I sincerely hope you realize that your last post is completely irrational. No one said that George W. Bush was a murderer, though I am sure some think that, considering the rate at which executions are being carried out under his governorship. No one has said you do not have the right to voice your opinion, only that you do not speak for anyone except yourself.
There are no stats on the number of abortions prior to 1973 when the Roe vs. Wade decision was handed down. I have not seen any one deny that abstinence works, but it is not the only way to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. I doubt your guessimate of the number of abortions that are perforned on unwed vs, married women. I have not researched it in a couple years, but that was no where near the truth when I did.
Considering that the US population, as well as the world population continues to grow at an ever increasing rate, I have to think that even prior to the keeping of statistics there were many abortions performed, under less than desirable conditions. Far too many resulted in not just the death of the fetus (or baby), but in the morbidity and mortality of women. Abortion is not a legal issue, it is a moral one. A woman should not be legally forced to sub-standard medical care in our country.

ddicffe - is it not apparent to you how many times Saddam's name has been mentioned in the last few days? Isn't that the tactic they use to get us primed for war.
Powell and Rice have both been saying what a threat he is to the world. Rice said just today he should be forced to comply with the economic sanctions. What does "forced" mean to you? I thought it would be within a year, but now I'd say within six months.
So do you think the Bush baby will kick Saddam's ass better than daddy did?

Stepping back and resting is always a good thing.
ddicffe - (I have the hardest time remembering how to spell that!) Honestly, I don't begrudge you your right to witness. I am pretty sure I said that, too. My comments have not been so much about your witnessing as the way you have chosen to go about it. Heavyhandedness will turn off far more people than a calm, rational statement of how you believe.
I left this forum myself about a year ago, for specific reasons as well. What do you know? We have that in common...it's a start. When I first showed up here, I came in with guns blazing too, ddicffe. And I got roasted far worse than you did. That was my only point. No criticism of your choice to come in blazing. Ya gotta do what you gotta do.
I did use the term Bible thumping, but I never called you a bigot. It's not a term I use lightly. And no one said your opinion didn't count. It was simply disagreed with.
You mention pro-life. We are all pro-life. Some of us believe in the right to make a choice for ourselves. And this may be completely unfair on my part, but as a woman, I can't help but think if this issue was one that the choice was entirely up to the male in the equation, there would be no debate. That is an opinion, and one that can never be proven or disproven.
Now I'm off to do some research. I don't have anything against you, ddicffe. I simply disagree with you on this issue. No doubt your heart is in the right place.
The Holy Bible can be, has been and continues to be proofread to support whatever an issue one wants to "prove."
During the 1800s slavery debates, the Holy Bible was used to support slavery and to abolish slavery at the same time. It has been used and continues to be used for racial discrimination and for racial equality arguments.
It has been proven time and time again that there are so many flaws with the Holy Bible.
When one uses the Holy Bible as a weapon to beat people into submission and "worships" the Holy Bible it is, in my opinion, idolatry.
