msincognito - from what we can tell, the beads are all glass. Unfortunately I can't find any photos with her wearing it, so I can't get a better idea of dates.
Thanks much for the info though. Cheryl gaev me some good ideas and I have listed it (keeping my fingers crossed!).
I've got another set that are square beads that are graduated in size. What's kind of cool is each surface is smaller squares and some of them are iridescent. I know this one is plastic, just not sure what kind.
Cheryl, the world needs more people like you helping out. My girlfriend and I do it, but with animals. We just brought our 3rd stray cat into the house, to go along with our abused dog (4 owners in 4 years) and my girlfriend's parrot with a missing toe (abused by a prior owner)

Bless you! Animals need love and compassion just like humans do! My brother and his partner have a dog that was abused in the past. Sandy is the best dog they ever have. I have a cockatiel that was unwanted. He's a joy, but a bit noisy. For entertainment, he whistles the Andy Griffith show theme song and does the wolk whistle every time I walk past. I think my boyfriend had a hand in that one.

Cheryl, I'm not an expert by any means, just a bead-crazy woman who's fighting to keep her living room from being taken over by beads. (The den has already been colonized by eBay!) There are a few great sites for information on Czech beads.
One is the website for the wholesaler G Ju Hwa Bohemia (it's easier just to remember czechbeads.com) which has a reasonably comprehensive selection of those styles of beads that are currently available. (you won't be able to see prices without a password but you can see if the bead you're looking at is currently in production.)Shipwreck and Fire Mountain Gems also have a large selection of Czech pressed glass to look at.
What did "your beads" look like? We have a local flea market seller who marks all her stuff "Czech crystal" and prices it obscenely. I would have pointed out to her that what she has labeled as "crystal" is really fire-polished glass, except that I suspect she already knows and would not welcome my opinion.
about your Medicare problem. Ask the Medicare tech that is helping you if the software is HIPAA format. That is the new porability and accountability act that we have to be compliant with this summer. All insurance companies have to accept the same format if the billing is done electronically.
Make sure they start you out with that software or it will be a nightmare to change over...MAJOR MAJOR CHANGES.
I have been working on my bill specs for 2 months now and still no light at the end of the tunnel. I now have to do 3 different bill specs just to bill one insurance company. We are at a Mental Health Clinic and each service has to be billed differently.

The new software HIPPA compliant. I know about the nighmares. How about the new HIPPA privacy laws? I have 300 claims to re-enter into the new Medicare program once it comes to my office. We still don't have our Medicaid approval and I have well over 500 of them once we are approved. I'm taking this week off just to gear myself up. We were also just approved my Medical Mutual. Thanks for your advice! It is well taken. There are so many different rules for each insurance company sometimes my head spins. Actually billing is not my real job. I'm a manager. Right now we cannot afford to hire a biller and someone has to do it. So, let the WOMAN do it. In fact, let her do everything: billing, payroll, a/p, a/r, payroll taxes, supervise the front office, etc., etc., etc.
And they wondered why I so badly needed this week off!

they have the WOMAN do all that because they know we are the only ones that can do it. we usually have the patience and common sense to get the job done....i say usually because on this one retirement is looking better and better...LOL
the privacy issues...wait until we tell the patients they have to fill out a form saying they wish to fill out a form....lord help us all
