Y'all don't wanna know *what* it is that's dragging me away right now, and I won't get into it other than to say that it's not fair that women must be cursed in this fashion...
antiquary, quite contrary
where did your sweet muse go?
I think that she was very, very,
comely, if somewhat slow...

Dejavu, njrazd, UpInTheHills, Bearmom, hopefulli, oddish4 and ESPECIALLY DoctorBeetle.....
I think you have hit the nail on the head!
And what is the big deal about using teleprompters anyway? I think that most people making a speech of this magnitude (in front of millions of people) would certainly want to use one. Why NOT make use of modern technology?

LadyGambler...I agree with Oddish that we did have one Republican poster who was posting in a very aggressive manner, which reflected badly on the rest of us. It was a shame because the message was completely lost and only added to the fodder.

I don't agree with the dominated by Dem's statement. And maybe I'm special, but I can grab the message from any post regardless of the insanity mixed up within it. Auctionwatch like many other places on the interent is full of people with opinions. Some of those people have a fact or two to support the opinion, some people are dangerous they just have an opinion. Nothing wrong with that on the surface. But in certain discussions those with only opinions tend to get frustrated with the facts.
All in all I enjoyed reading the election based threads. Sure beat the heck out of buyer and seller bashing on the ebay outlook. Now on those teleprompters, I know they all use teleprompters, speechwriters, and a whole multitude of tools and talents to get their messages across. George Dubya (a.k.a. President Elect George Bush) just makes it so obvious that he is reading a script. That part of his delivery creates IMHO the impression of a man who doesn't have an independent thought of his own. I know that can't be true, because in America the only successful on several levels certified idiot is Forrest Gump. And since he is fictional, and Bush is really the President. We know that he had help to get there, but I know he had to have the basics to even attract the help.
So there I said it, and will say this and close.
Besides my standing rule in this and any other internet forum is give as good as you get. Except unlike some of the opinion only posters, I don't run to moderators corner when it gets revealed that no fact exists to support the opinion. Because my opinions tend to have some facts to support them. I just don't think it is healthy to have an opinion just to have one.
