Quite a few sellers who are participating in AFA are extremely confused. I can't even begin to imagine all the problems that will arise when these auctions begin to end! This comes from an AFA listing:

Shipping is actual cost. 6 lbs, (around $6 in US depending on zip code. Pay with a credit card on EBAY'S Bill Point and they will donate all fees they charge me to the September 11 Fund. Otherwise I take checks and money orders

Sadie you said: You want well thought out from eBay? That must be an eBay I haven't heard of.
I don't like United Way for a number of reasons.
I don't use Billpoint and won't be coerced into doing so.
feeBay is using its sellers to gain glory for doing nothing except passing money from one hand to another.
They did this during Xmas season. Retailers traditionally make 90% of their money this time of year - what do they think their sellers are?

Sadie, I totally agree with you. I too have no use for the liberal United Way, and I agree this is just another way to push sellers into using Billpoint (in their fight against PayPal), and I won’t be coerced – this is all glory for eBay, all good PR, and actually a down side for the seller. ALL SHOW –
