And that is proven over and over by a website that sends me daily quotes from our founders. Most would be surprised at the number of times they mention God...etc.

And even old Thomas Jefferson who most liberals CLAIM supported the separation of Church and State took the time to take a Bible and cut parts out...change parts and ended up producing what is referred to as the Jeffersonian Bible.
So while the liberals try and convince others that this Nation wasn't founded on a STRONG belief in God....and twist the meaning of our Constitution when it comes to our Constitutional 'right's', put in our Constitution BY OUR FOUNDING FATHERS, to FREELY practice our own religions....they do so in error.
Our founders never intended to separate God from Country....reading their quotes one learns many/most felt the two belonged together.
Not FORCED....but ALLOWED. And not allowing it is what the liberal/progressive/secular/atheists platform continues to work for.

I'm always amused by the things that some thank God for daily. I've read quite often on the boards here what others thank him for and pray for....... strange. Actually it puts a whole new light on how they view religion and what is important to them when it comes to prayer.

No I don't Libra63, I have a memory and when things are recently said here I don't need files like you may imagine or you may keep.
I mentioned it because a couple of people have prayed to God and thanked him for numerous silly happenings on this board or have prayed for bad things to happen to me because of my postings but have also chastised another poster for wanting prayers for her ill family member. It strikes me as a bit strange, that's all.
Why does it bother you that I freely comment on it? You jump into conversations here, why be so condescending to others if they do? Just because you took a holiday it doesn't mean that you suddenly have ownership of the board or something.

I take that to mean you think Jefferson did not support the the separation of church and state. That you think he felt the church and the state should be inseparable. Is that really what you think Linda?
Nobody ever claimed Jefferson, or any other founding father was an atheist. This is an excerpt from a letter written by Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist Committe of Connecticut.
Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between man & his god, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, and not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, thus building a wall of separation between church and state.
There is no need to bold any of the words of Jefferson. They speak for themselves.

I said what I wanted to to point out that Jefferson did believe in God. Did cut and paste a Bible that HE prefered = The Jefferson Bible.
You appear to want to make THAT into more than I said....which will leave you discussing it with yourself.
Our founding fathers didn't agree on a LOT of the issues that they felt like including in our Const.....and that's why this so-called 'separation of church and state' was NEVER included in THEIR/our Constitution...because they couldn't AGREE upon it.
Plus the 'separation' they were all referring to was to separate from the Church of England....not having ONLY ONE religion. Not being forced to practice that same religion. THAT, imo and many Const. scholars is what THEY meant.
Believe what you wish...I don't care.

Shove it, lindak. I made a comment and have every right to post here whenever I choose to. Besides, you're a great one to b!tch if I happen to sit down and post a couple of times in a day when you post steady on a couple of boards nonstop almost around the clock.
BTW, how is your leg injury? Perhaps your doctor didn't advise you but do you know that when you get as old as you are, you are more at risk for getting weak bones. Lack of exercise can make it much worse so between laying in bed all day or on your sofa with your Web TV as you reported and scootering around Wally World you may want to take a brisk walk on occasion.
As you found out, all that excess weight on fragile bones can be deadly. Also, if you go outside more often you may gain some appreciation for the environment and have more understanding as to why others who enjoy it are so concerned.

lindak, while I realize you're blind to your lapdog dblfugger's postings where she doesn't stay on topic such as in this thread may I jerk your memory about the times she's openly said she's prayed for something bad to happen to me like driving into a wall, etc. It got to be a joke because each time she prayed for or wished something bad on me I seemed to have extra good luck.

My comment included you because of your very recent God posts including the one of you telling us how you or others were praying and thanking God that I didn't represent Canada ...... when I have made it known from the start that I only speak for myself and not Canada. It's also noted that you conveniently missed the little word "OR" in my statement.

Remember OTWA is private and I am sure the reason it is is so that people can't come back here and report. How silly of you Kiara and I think it was Helen? to bring the OTWA board here again. I would also think the owner of that discussion board made it private to stop this sort of thing and may be he will start taking more drastic measures and ban the posters that bring information here from there. That is just petty stuff. Child like. I don't understand what your need is to come here and post things from there.
That board has nothing but liberal posters and they don't like intrusion but since they don't restrict members by their political affiliation what goes on there should stay there.

You are wrong, Libra63. The owner of the board has stated his reasons for making it private and it has nothing to do with people reporting on it here. His reasons can be publicly viewed and no log-in is required so I suggest you go over there and read why.
Your blanket statement that all the posters are 'liberal' is also wrong.
I made a point that whenever lindak feels the heat over there she comes back here and vents on one of us as she did again last night. She has also brought some of this board over there, even commenting on me though I am not posting there. If you don't like my observations or agree with what I choose to post, too bad.
