Were the miners supposed to implement safety features on their own time or work overtime to install them.

As planed they forgot most of the promises they made the average American. The facts are these crooked conservatives have weakened Middle and Working Class America.
To them if a few miners die but corporate profits are strong so what.
To them if 50,000 American auto workers lose jobs as long as corporate profit is strong so what.
They can always lie and say its all the Unions fault.
You will never hear from a neocon that high health insurance and high energy cost help make the total expensive.
This government should work on better and less expensive health and energy cost to help save American jobs but they won't.
Conservative Neocons won't help American labor. This government will just set back and let 50,000 more Americans lose their jobs for better corporate profit.

gee mingotree your lack of actual knowledge about mining is quite evident.
The minors have many outlets to alert people of safety issues.
Of course making $20+/hour might have something to do about people willing to be miners.
Oh and peepa you notice that whenever these layoffs are announced the stockmarket goes up? And these are over YEARS so the effect will be minimal.
