Well fenix....past history has proven that it's threads where righties are saying things the lefties don't like....THEY get pulled....not when it's visa versa. nope.
And I'll bet you anything that someone who others see as a 'rightie' will come up suspended.
I'm not buying this garbage anymore of we get blamed for reporting or having threads removed....when nothing is at all like they state.
But too many rightie threads...too many righties here keep getting suspended when MANY lefties like maggie are saying terrible things and still remain.

lindak, I thought the topic was President Bush. So I asked if you were angry at Helen for calling him a pitiful puppet because you were ranting about name calling again.
I was surprised when I first posted here and said I didn't agree with the way Bush invaded Iraq that some others assumed that I must hate him and also hate everything he has done because they feel hate so much. I don’t.
Bush definitely has others controlling him and probably more so than any other president. Power corrupts, and some in power are corrupted more easily than others. Bush has a certain arrogance that will lead him quicker down this path.
I believe he is viewed most favorably by a segment of the population that likes to be controlled by a government and by a leader.
Those of us who don't follow the norm and are more free-thinking will most likely approve of him the least.

Again, I agree with your above post...as do many in the democratic party...the more moderate ones anyway.
And, imo, it's the ONLY way to ever get a dem elected again....in these post-9-11 times we now find ourselves facing....is to be able to 'trust' a dem President to protect this Nation....not support our known enemies.

Linda, as with everything, you only heard the part of Maggie's message with which you could find some shred of agreement... ...that he is strong (in other words bullheaded) and that he has the courage of his convictions (in other words he stays the course even when that decision is not wise) and that he does not change faces to achieve popularity (most puppets do not)

Helen your support of crowfarm/mingotree's poor character is what I'm once again noticing.
Most friends don't agree on several issues....but it's obvious by what cf/mg/lb has posted SHE can't HANDLE differing opinions WITHOUT INSULTING even her 'friend'.
That you are also the exact same way....comes as NO surprise to me.

yep....helen....I agree with maggie. I also agreed with what I highlighted and c&p from her first OP. And I agree this President doesn't do well, some of the time, when he speaks publically too.
Must just enrage you that I can find an area of agreement with a democrat who also sees a need for our country to take the terrorist threats seriously.

I don't see maggie as "changing" sides. She has said she does support some of what the President Does, and doesn't support some of what he does.
Nothing wrong with that. However it is showing how rabid the left is at the perception President Bush has done anything good, which of course he has.

Excellent post Maggie. I think most good Americans feel the same way as you. I doubt many agree with everything he's done.
He's the strongest President we've had in many years. I too respect his stand tall attitude and convictions in securing a safer world and Homeland.
Bad thing about the post is: You’ve lost your leftist friends. As you can already see Helen and Crowfart are crushed.
