Yes, there are strange things happening tonight. I listed about 50 auctions (which was a feat in itself with all the intermittent outages), and afterwards scanned my seller list.

One of them was missing. I had written the auction number down, so I pulled it up. The listing was devoid of the entire description section.

I've read the complaints from AW users who have auctions missing from their seller lists, but I use AuctionAssistant to upload my auctions. As far as the missing description section, that's just plain bizarre!

I too have this "oddity" in 2 of 17 current auctions. I think the prob. may be in our browsers, rather than another eBay snafu. I find when I view my auctions in question through Netscape, they are as you stated... completely void of all description. However if I "right click", as if to copy & paste, then drag over the area, my description is there. If I view my auctions through Internet Explorer, there is no problem whatsoever. Perhaps it is the templates we chose for these particular auctions, or something else. Any way you look at it, it's weird!!!

I use IE, not Netscape, and still can't see the description. There's not even any room for anything to be highlighted -- the section isn't there at all.

I also don't know if it's coincidental that this is the auction that's missing from my seller list. I've written to powersellers@ebay for some answers, but haven't heard back yet (which is another oddity -- they normally would have responded by now).

It's not a full moon, is it?

I have not had this particular problem, but I CAN tell you hoe I deal with my EOA's...I go to "My eBay" and sign in...then click on "view details"...gives me the headings of all the auctions, including e-mail addy's...not sure if this will solve the problem, but just a tip.

I am the seller that posted narc but meant neg. I think eBay is aware of the problems & hopefully they are watching to try & prevent these glitches, as that is the only explanation I can come up with on receiving an End of Auction email from them in less than 5 hours after the auction was over on the one that I had previously received an Outbid email on. At the same time, I keep wondering if they took something from the end of Auctions to use the resources on descriptive search after they were caught not indexing auctions in descriptive search that already had a bid. What do you think?

Hi Jane, thanks for popping in. I've yet to run into this problem, and I hope I never do!

THIS HAPPENED TO ME TOO!!!

Some of you may remember the thread I started here entitled "my stupidity". I thought I had accidently invoiced my customer before the auction was over somehow. I couldn't think of any other reason that the mixup would have happened.

It is obvious to me now that what happened was this glitch!!! I invoiced the customer for a lower amount than what she actually ended up winning the item for. She paid me via BidPAy for the lower amount. Then the underbidder emailed me saying that if the high bidder deadbeated to please contact her immediately, she was still willing to pay $XXX.XX for the item. I thought, huh? That much? what's going on here? So then I checked & realized I had invoiced the customer prematurely. I came here to AW, got some excellent advice from other sellers, & ended up offering to pay for her BidPAy fees & shipping- she paid the second money order via bidpay also- I gave her a discount of around $15.00 all together. And I am very peeved about it now because that was supposedly an apology for my "mistake". Sheeeeesh!!!

I am so so so so so so glad I moved the bulk of my auctions to Yahoo. I don't regret it in the least.
