My kind of guy. . .smart, funny, tidy and self-reliant. He would take out the trash without having to be nagged, pick up his own dirty clothes and throw them in the wash, be adept at washing a dish every now and again and would mow the lawn before it gets 10" tall. He would know the difference between a weed and a flower, a clean bathtub and a scummy one. He would not fear a toilet brush and would know how to empty a vaccuum cleaner bag. He would know that to pay bills when they are due is good and paying them 2 weeks late is bad. Middle age spread, ok. Beer gut, not.
Sigh, guess I'll just have to settle for smart and funny. Because no one fitting the above description lives in my house.

I have care of myself financially since my mid teens. It's a little late in the game to start looking for a sugar daddy. As long as they make enough to support their style of living I know my end is taken care of.
Personally I think that money is far from the most important thing.

I'm with you, fenix - I have supported myself since I was 17 and went off to college.
I know I am going to catch it for this...but to be totally honest, I struggle just fine on my own. If I am going to be with someone, it's going to make my life a little easier - certainly not going to be with someone whom I have to struggle alongside.
It may sound materialistic, but at least I'm honest about it. Money isn't the number one determining factor, but it's there

Lyin' Eyes
Eagles
City girls just seem to find out early
How to open doors with just a smile
A rich old man and she won't have to worry
She'll dress up all in lace and go in style
Late at night a big ole house gets lonely,
I guess every form refuge has its price
And it breaks her heart to think her love is only
Given to a man with hands as cold as ice.
So she tells him she must go out for the evening
To comfort an old friend who's feeling down
But he knows where she's going as she's leaving
She is headed for the cheatin' side of town.
You can't hide your lyin' eyes
And your smile is a thin disguise
I thought by now you'd realize
There ain't no way to hide your lyin' eyes
On the other side of town a boy is waiting
With firey eyes and dreams no one could steal
She drives on through the night anticipating
Cause he makes her feel the way she used to feel
She rushes to his arms, they fall together
She whispers it's only for a while
She swears that soon she'll be coming back forever
She pulls away and leaves him with a smile
You can't hide your lyin' eyes
And your smile is a thin disguise
I thought by now you'd realize
There ain't no way to hide your lyin' eyes
She gets up and pours herself a strong one
And stares out at the stars up in the sky
Another night - it's gonna be a long one
She draws the shade and hangs her head and cries
She wonders how it ever got this crazy
She thinks about a boy she knew in school
Did she get tired, or did she just get lazy
She's so far gone, she feels just like a fool
My, oh my, you sure know know how to arrange things
You set it up so well, so carefully
Ain't it funny how your new life didn't change things
You're still the same ole' girl you used to be
You can't hide your lyin' eyes
And your smile is a thin disguise
I thought by now you'd realize
There ain't no way to hide your lyin' eyes...
There ain't no way to hide your lyin' eyes...
Honey you can't hide your lyin' eyes...
