I signed up with Paypal Inc. Under the email of [email protected] I spent the time and energy to verify my banking accounts and have made payments with them. Recently after I started selling Products my account was placed in a limited status in other words I could receive money but could not transfer it to my bank or to other sellers. I cannot ship to customers now and they have about $13000 of my customer's money and will not release it until the appeal committee approves it. I have provided all documentation they have requested including a copy of my drivers license, Utility Bill, Banking statements and even proof of ownership of what I was selling. And shipping proof of 10 of these even though I have not had this money released from pay pal.
My account is still in limited status and I am getting some unhappy
customers. It had been less then 72hours after my first order was received when
they froze my account and I am losing business because of this. I feel this
is uncalled for. They do this all under the clause of they want to keep
everyone secure. But are hiding behind this in order to hold money that
I paid for to be transferred. I have spoken with the federal banking
commission and they felt this seemed quite odd as they have stopped
bank transfers to my accounts. Please help this is getting insane.
I have contacted damon at paypal also but this account is still locked. This is quite a large chunk of money to be just frozen because they do not want to unfreeze it. I have placed complaints with the California Attorney Generals office, The silicon valley BBB, the Department of financial institutions, and paypal itself. I need anyhelp that is possible I have spent money on all this shipping and not to mention the Ipaq computers I am selling and I do not even get the money from paypal a service that I paid for. Email me if you have info [email protected]

I don't understand. If PayPal has frozen your account how can PayPal accept any more money. You would think when an account is frozen it is frozen in both ways. I am not critizing you as it sounds like you did everything they wanted. I figure when an account is frozen that is what it means nothing going in or nothing going out.

Damon has stated there are two levels of restriction, limited & total.

With limited restriction your account accepts payments but you can't send payments or withdraw funds.

With total restriction you can't do anything.

You better watch out. Paypal has been holding my money, (over 5 grand) for almost 6 months. They claim they will send me a check once the 6 months is over, so I am counting down the days. At the end of February, the 6 months will be up and Paypal claims they will give me my hard earned money back.
