You and Ralphie have trust issues. You have to trust PP will not do anything dishonest. PP built their empire with a lie and you two pounded your pom-poms, now you have issues? Is the misty haze in your minds lifting? Is there a chance you'll both completely come to your senses and vote for the "pretzel choker" next November?

Only if we saw & heard:

Pigs flying over the White Clifts of Dover, tooting "Inna-Gadda-Da-Vita" out their rears!

OTOH: PP has CHANGED their SPP to the point of total silliness -- Ralphie has retired his Pom-Poms & is taking up meditation (are cats GOD?) as a form of atonement!

PP hasn't changed the rules, they never have covered not as described or quality issues. The only thing that has changed is your perception of reality, I mean everybody knows pigs don't toot.

" You have to trust PP will not do anything dishonest..."

Tis the whole point!

In the BUYERS PP, PP always excluded "not-as-described" -- they always said for BUYERS to work THAT one out with sellers!

NOT-AS-DESCRIBED exclusions was NEVER BEFORE specifically listed as an exclusion in the SELLERS PP!

Obviously, PP is losing THOUSANDS&THOUSANDS to garbagely untruthful charge-backs & have decided to CUT THEIR LOSSES by screwing thousands of HONEST feeBay sellers.

REMEMBER, that when a chargeback is initiated by the card-holder to his CC company, the CC-company notifies PayPal with the amount & REASON!

DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE THAT NOW THAT PP HAS A SPECIFIC EXCLUSION IN THE SPP THAT THEY ARE GONNA TELL YOU THE TRUE REASON FOR THE C-BACK?????

OF COURSE NOT! -- from now on, PayPal will declare EACH&EVERY chargeback to be NOT-AS-DESCRIBED & thus inelgible for protection under the SPP!

THUS, the SPP is a total 100% cynical & worthless FARCE!

"DITTO...pill-gobble,pill-gobble,pill-gobble...DITTO...pill-gobble,pill-gobble,pill-gobble...DITTO..."

Other than uaru, I've been just about the laudest PayPal cheerleader on these boards for the past 2-3 years!

Just around 2 mos ago, I posted a rave review of PP's SPP, stating that all one had to do was READ the SPP and ...

FOLLOW THE RULES & ye would be protected!

What I'm now saying is: they changed the SPP to the point that NO MATTER WHAT A SELLER does, there is NO protection under the SPP what-so-ever -- that the SPP is now a FARCE!

PLEASE folks: READ PP's TOS!

i was just reading cc5 post on paypal policy and how it affects booksellers using media mail to ship books.
unless paypal has a different policy on books, otherwise it is 30 days .
when you sign up for paypal, you must know that.
this is like a fat lady standing in front of a glass and steel revolving door and figure she can go thru it like everyone else, yes,it would be nice to revolve thru it,it is so cool to do that!!
then when she is caught, she demands the building manager to dismantle the door for her so she can free herself.
the lady has used the revolving door many times, each time she is lucky, and now one time it spoils all the fun.
and in cc5 case, alaska, hawaii and california are the fun spoiling states.
which brings back to the sore topic-are we making enough to spare a dime??
sparing a dime on good customer gesture such as upgrading to first class mailing or accepting return or issuing a partial refund?? or even wrapping the item or getting a box for shipping??
i sell books as well, mostly on amzn and i dont sell too many these days, why??
because there are too many sellers who are willing to sell at much lower price.
when i do sell a copy,i make good profit and i am grateful enough to size up the situation-where am i shipping the book to and i decide if i want to upgrade to first class, priority or global priority and add more packing material or ship in box instead of envelope. none of these gestures would be possible if i am making 99 cents on each sale, please subsitute 99 cents to whatever number you consider meager.
signing up a service and then find out it does not fit your needs is like trying on the glass slippers which do not fit and insist on wearing them to a ball.and then sue everyone in sight when you break a bone.

Don't bother reading "stops" posts as he is speaking from the wrong end of his body. Next to auctiondoofus, no one knows less about the business than stop.

sure,no one hears me complain of wearing the wrong size glass slipper to a ball either.
if 30 days is not enough, then make it 32 ,how about 37 ,some one may chime, and then 43,then 51 days.
yeah, the moon is blue tonite, lets all HOWL together!!

Tom where is your proof of Paypal changing the chargeback code as received from the credit card company to not as described?
