Sorry I forgot how to post a link. But I got a chuckle out of this one.
Item : 3241928433

And then this:
http://www.noemalab.com/sections/arte_detail.asp?IDArts=1030

Which if you dont feel like reading it states:
The sculptures themselves are carved out of wood and painted to match vintage Tupperware measuring cup sets. They are also intentionally displayed in arrangements that mimic the decorative and structuralist display habits of actual Ebay Tupperware sellers (and perhaps not so coincidentally, certain modular tendencies of Minimalism).

Of course, I was looking because I have the Anchor Hocking set....lol......

And I always wondered what the attraction to the real thing was...I certainly wouldn't want to pay that kind of cash for a carved reproduction...oh, but that's "art" I guess.

Ebayers and collectors never cease to amaze me what they will fork over their cash for! I was looking at some old plastic toys that could not have been worth more than .25 when they were made, and they are going for some nice change. Guess its the vintage/antique aspect of them. Can't get them anymore?

Hey, where's fluffy these days? I hope she reads that Ebay's structural and display habits are now a work of art!! Now I can do my auctions and say: "Walla! Dis one is fini!"

(fluffy is fenix? kinda thought so...but wasnt sure)

I am an artist myself and consider the "tupperware work" a collosal waste of time and money. (need I mention I hate orange?) AND you can't even use them for real measuring cups, probably. I consider these to be the epitome of stupid esoteric art, with a person paying more for the "idea" of what the item is than it's true value as a piece of esthetic material. Cheap marbles are prettier. A nice set of stainless steel measuring cups are far more attractive and useful.

Okay, I guess if that's what someone wants to pay ridiculous money for them, who am I to say they should not? But I will still think they need to get a life, and that they have more money than sense.

Value is obviously in the hyped-up mind of the beholder! But I just realized that the case for all collectibles buyers...

I am not Fluffy ... I am a b*tch of a different color (no offense Fluff, I one of those that feels that B*tch is a compliment).

Ace may be able to correct me since he knows all that is Fluffy but I believe she is on a cruise.

She is Northern Cal, I am Southern Cal.
She takes vacations .... I take short naps.
She knows something about traditional collectibles... I am clueless.

I am Fenix... See me flame
